The Daily App: GoodReader For iOS

Don’t waste time trying to import files onto an iOS device with any other app other than today’s Daily App. GoodReader for iOS is a PDF document reader that can view and annotate large PDF files directly from a mobile device.

GoodReader was created by productivity app developer Good.iWare and costs $4.99. The PDF reader app has an interactive easy-to-use interface and comes with a plethora of annotation tools for marking up PDF files of unlimited size.

When a PDF file has been opened for the first time, GoodReader provides the option of saving the original document as a separate file or creating a secondary copy for markups. In addition to PDF files, GoodReader also can annotate txt files and high-resolution images such as .jpg, .gif and .bmp. It also can access Microsoft Office files and Google Docs as well as HTML and Safari document files from a remote server or by direct transfer via Wi-Fi.

The annotation tools include highlighting, underlining and crossing-out words, as well as the ability to add bookmarks, sticky notes, lines, arrows, boxes and other shapes. Once the markups are complete, the document can be shared through email, Dropbox and SugarSync.

GoodReader also provides an outlet for opening hyperlinks, which enables quick navigation from the document to a website. It also provides the capability to search for text with the search bar.
