Talking Pictures: Tandberg E20 Video Phone
Videoconferencing vendor Tandberg recently introduced its E20 video phone, a VoIP handset designed to replace a standard office phone. The unit offers CD-quality audio with DVD-quality video. It includes an ultra-wideband 20kHz speaker phone and 10 kHz handset and a 10.6-inch wide format LCD display with WXGA resolution. Standard telephony features are included, such as call transfer, message waiting and call forwarding. It also provides quick keys for access to advanced IP phone and video services, the company said. Tandberg also said the standard-compliant phone is interoperable with other phones and video systems. The E20 is scheduled to ship in the first quarter of 2009.

Living Large: Plustek Technology OpticPro A360
Plustek Technology Inc. this month rolled out OpticPro A360, a new large-format scanner aimed at small businesses. The company said its new scanner is built for speed, promising to scan an A3-size document at high quality in just 2.4 seconds. The OpticProA360 sports support for USB 2.0 and features seven one-touch buttons to automate common features such as scan, OCR, copy, fax and e-mail. It is compatible with Microsoft's Windows Vista operating system. It also comes bundled with image processing and document management software, including I.R.I.S. Readris 10 Pro Corporation Edition. The OpticPro A360 is available now at an estimated street price of $1,199.
