A rough week on Wall Street didn't spare IT vendors or channel companies. Here's a look at how 20 companies' stock prices have fared since Oct. 3.
Cronin's appointment to CEO expands 1NService's executive staff to further support new initiatives and business development across affiliate and supplier channels.
1NService is a collaborative community of 28 different solution providers that share best practices and work together to deliver their services outside of their physical geographies or technology practices, effectively supporting all layers of the OSI model. 1NService hopes to change the channel model by building strategic partnerships with key technology companies to create leading edge solutions for clients in a converged environment.
Cronin has served in a variety of roles within 1NService over the past four years and has more than 25 years of industry experience.
According to 1NService, the office of CEO is targeted at furthering growth of the collaborative organization. In his new role, Cronin will lead a team of executive staff members to unify and support strategic alliances with preferred adjacent market leaders; grow, develop and educate the affiliate base; and pioneer the future of the 1NService collaborative community. Those initiatives fall into 1NService's plan to offer value to its members through identifying new revenue generating programs.
"Having Paul join or executive team is a tremendous boost for our organization," Jo Miller, 1NService's partner relations director, said in a statement. "We have so many opportunities to leverage one another's strengths to expand our collective operations, having Paul's leadership is a considerable asset to all of us."
Cronin said the expansion of 1NService's executive level will enable the organization to continue to spread its influence globally to unify the supplier community with its affiliates and their clients.
"To truly bring value to our collaborative model, we can not underestimate the need to clearly demonstrate to the supplier community the breadth and scope of our affiliate capabilities," Cronin said. "There is a great deal of transactional business available for both parties to take advantage of as global markets change. By working in unison, we can all uncover unrealized opportunities that are mutually beneficial."
At the Cisco Partner Summit in Honolulu, Cronin discussed 1NService and the need for partners to collaborate with other partners to not only extend their reach but to land deals in areas where they may not have been able to before.
"Together we are more powerful than our individual parts," Cronin said, hammering home channel collaboration, one of the key themes of this year's Partner Summit.
1NService brings solution providers together to collaborate and leverage each member's core competencies. The organization currently has a presence in 56 offices in North America and supports more than 650 technology service professionals. 1NService's staff specializes in designing, building, implementing, training and managing. Its consultants, technicians and engineers have earned certifications and the highest levels of training from a wide array of technology partners.
