A VAR 500 CEO is headed into the boxing ring next month to fight Michael Lohan, yes, Lindsay's estranged dad, for charity.

Bob Venero of Future Tech Enterprise, Holbrook, N.Y., had already committed to fight for charity when he heard that Michael Lohan was looking for an opponent. So Venero ponied up $20,000 and will go toe-to-toe with Lohan on Nov. 24 in Melville, N.Y.

"It's to bring some publicity, do something for charity and to fight someone to be competitive with, as opposed to a normal CEO," Venero said. "I'm not a normal CEO."

The bout is part of Long Island's Fight For Charity, which will raise money for three local charities, according to the organizer's Web site.

Venero said he has no boxing background, but it's not stopping him from feeling confident.

"Hey, I'm using technology to train. I went out and bought Nike clothing that can tie to my iPod with a censor. So Apple is helping me train. And I'm using my notebook to track my progress and my diet. We're bringing technology to the training world," Venero said. Venero, who founded his own children's foundation, is being dubbed "The Humanitarian Hitman," while Lohan goes by "The Maverick" for the fight.

According to Newsday, actor Stephen Baldwin will be one of the celebrity judges and he thinks his friend Lohan has the upper hand.

"But then again Bob is no slouch," Baldwin told Newsday. "If Mike throws the right punch, this could get ugly."

Venero also plans to buy at least 50 tickets at $150 a seat, and figures his total investment will be close to $30,000.

The two men threw a couple of playful jabs at each other at a press conference Tuesday in New York City and the official weigh-in is scheduled for Oct. 28.

"Put the computer industry down for a win," Venero said. "We're going to win."
