Cisco Systems Chairman and CEO John Chambers is a notorious Diet Coke fiend. Now's he's been officially recognized as Diet Coke's biggest fan.

Chambers, at the Cisco Partner Summit in Honolulu Thursday, celebrated the sale of the vendor's four millionth Integrated Services Router by presenting an award to the customer who purchased it, Esat Sezer, CIO of Coca-Cola Enterprises.

Cisco presented Sezer with a red ISR router emblazoned with the white Coca-Cola ribbon from its logo.

But Chambers didn't leave the stage empty-handed. Sezer reciprocated by naming Chambers "The No. 1 Diet coke Fan in the World," a distinction that came with its very own trophy.

"I love to sell and I love to market, but this is easy for me to do because this really is how I start my day," Chambers said as he took the stage with a can of Diet Coke in his hand.

He also joked about the discount he should be receiving for all of the Diet Coke he buys.

"If I negotiate with you as well as you negotiate with us, I have a large refund coming," Chambers said to Sezer.

Cisco first introduced the ISR line in 2004.
