The center, which enables solution providers and their customers to test and benchmark WebSphere solutions, will be housed at an EYT, formerly Ernst and Young Technologies, facility and will be jointly managed with LinXLogix, formerly EYT eSolutions Center.

Users can develop and test solutions ranging from basic Web development to CRM and B2B e-commerce. The center will specialize in secure customer support, deal brokering and communications solutions, all delivered by Parsippany-based LinXLogix, according to the companies.

Last year, IBM opened its first IBM WebSphere Innovation Centers with partners to go along with eight of its own centers worldwide. Other centers in the United States are run by Ingram Micro in California and one by distributor Avnet and solution provider Rave in New York.

"The addition of the newest WebSphere Innovation Center underscores IBM's commitment to delivering the most customer-friendly, reliable and scalable e-business infrastructure software and support services available in the market," said Mike Colleary, vice president of IBM Software channels sales for the Americas, in a statement.
