GTDC Names Ingram Micro, Arrow Execs Co-Chairmen

Global Technology Distribution Council Ingram Micro Arrow Electronics

Foster and Kaufman succeed Tech Data Chairman and CEO Steve Raymund, who served as GTDC chairman for two years.

The GTDC serves as an advocate for the industry's global IT distributors, addressing and resolving key issues and fueling industry growth. Both Foster and Kaufman plan to work with GTDC CEO Carol Miltner to broaden the value and visibility of the organization, they said.

"The GTDC unites the leaders of our industry under a single voice to promote the value of IT distribution," said Foster, in a statement. "Its efforts to increase the effectiveness of the channel are touching all corners of the IT industry."

Kaufman said he is "eager" to work with the group and ensure that supply chain participants continue to recognize and maximize distribution services. "In the evolving IT products marketplace, many new and exciting opportunities are arising for distributors, even as other aspects of our business models continue to be validated," Kaufman said.
