Xerox's Global Imaging Systems Acquires United Business Solutions

Imaging

United Business Solution offers document management and software solutions to thousands of businesses in the Chicago area, according to Xerox. The move furthers Global Imaging Systems' strategy of creating a nationwide network of locally-based providers focused on improving document workflow and office efficiency for small and mid-size businesses, according to Xerox.

Xerox has been active on the services acquisition front this year. Earlier this year, Global Imaging Systems acquired the assets of Florida Imaging & Network Systems, headquartered in Pensacola, Fla. On Tuesday, Affiliated Computer Services, another Xerox company, completed the acquisition of Unamic/HCN, a company based in The Netherlands that was initially announced Feb. 21.

Xerox purchased Global Imaging Systems in 2007 for $1.5 billion.

United Business Solutions will be integrated into Global Imaging Systems' Chicago Office Technology Group, according to Xerox.
