How Nth Generation Got HP CEO Meg Whitman To Headline Its Conference

Nth Symposium IT conference

The 13th Annual Nth Symposium, which kicks off on July 30 in Anaheim, Calif., will feature Whitman as well as other top HP executives, including Martin Fink, director and chief technology officer of HP Labs, and David Scott, senior vice president and general manager of HP Storage. The event also will feature top executives from other vendors such as Intel, Trend Micro and VMware.

The conference, which caters to end-user customers and prospective clients, is expected to have close to 1,000 attendees, and will focus on IT trends such as big data, mobility and cloud computing. In addition, the event will feature customer speakers such as Los Angeles Chief Technology Officer Steve Reneker, plus a variety of hands-on labs and nondisclosure product road maps for the latest technology.

So how did the San Diego-based solution provider turn a small customer event into a top regional IT conference? And how did Nth Generation go about convincing HP's CEO to speak at this year's show? In this week's episode of the CRN Podcast, we talk with Chief Strategy Officer Rich Baldwin and Chief Technology Officer Dan Molina of Nth Generation to learn how the solution provider turned its annual event into a success and what it has planned for this year's show.
