CRN Tech News App Takes Home Min's Top Tablet Honors
The CRN Tech News App took home top honors in min's Digital Awards in the category of Tablet App (free) at the 11th annual digital awards breakfast Monday, held at the Grand Hyatt ballroom in New York.
The ceremony included 28 categories with close to 150 finalists. A panel of new media experts and judges comprised from outsiders and min's staff chose the award recipients based on content and achievements from the prior year. The min Digital Awards is the industry’s top honor in the digital space.
CRN Tech News, which launched in 2012, currently has more than 40,000 subscribers. Available on the Apple iPad and Windows 8 devices, the app features daily news from CRN.com as well as access to CRN's lists, including the Solution Provider 500, Next-Gen 250, Tech Elite 250 and Fast Growth 150.

Other tablet-exclusive highlights from 2013 included "Windows 8: Some VARs Aren't Selling It, They're Replacing It," "Insider Threats: Are Your Customers Prepared For Having An Edward Snowden On Staff?," and "10 Bad Vendor Habits That Really Irk Solution Providers."
"This award is an honor, as it shows the hard work the staff here at CRN has put in," said Robert Faletra, CEO, The Channel Company. "Everyone, from the editors to reporters to Web developers have played a part in CRN continuing to be the voice of solution providers for over 30 years. The growth of the tablet app since its launch two years ago is just an illustration of their remarkable contributions as we continue to move in the right direction with this platform."
