Dell Cuts Prices On Corporate Hardware

Prices on the Dell PowerEdge 4600 two-way server, for instance, were cut by up to 22 percent, Precision workstations were reduced by as much as $460, and several Latitude notebook configurations have been slashed by up to $220.

The PowerEdge 4600 server features two Intel Pentium 4 processors running at 2.4GHz, four 73GB hard drives, and 1GB RAM. The new price of $4,194 is $1,210 lower than the previous price.

Basic LCD monitors also sport remarked price tags, said Dell, with a 15-inch screen now adding $249 to a system price and a 17-inch model costing an additional $299.

Prices apply only to customers in the U.S., said Dell.
