San Francisco Gets First Crack At T-Mobile G1
According to T-Mobile, the first retail sales of the long-awaited open-source Linux device will start promptly at 6 p.m. Pacific time with a celebration at T-Mobile's Third and Market streets store in San Francisco. The sneak peek gives potential buyers a special presale opportunity 11 hours before the handset becomes available anywhere else in the U.S.
To take advantage of the early release, T-Mobile is warning buyers to arrive early due to a limited supply of G1s. The carrier said the device will be sold on a strict first-come, first-served basis.

When the device officially launches tomorrow, T-Mobile said 95 cities in major nationwide markets will be blanketed with T-Mobile 3G coverage .
