NaviSite Notches Courion Deal
Cloud hosting provider NaviSite partnered with Courion to deliver CourionLive identity and access management services in the cloud.
CourionLive, the SaaS version of the company's Access Risk Management Suite, will allow businesses to manage their own security programs, the companies said.
Westborough, Mass.-based Courion's cloud and on-premise services offer identity, access management and compliance capabilities. Andover, Mass.-based NaviSite, a Time Warner Cable company, provides enterprise-class, cloud-enabled hosting, managed applications and services.
SingleHop Nabs $27.5 Million In VC Funding
Cloud hosting provider SingleHop said Wednesday it received $27.5 million in venture funding led by Battery Ventures. Battery Ventures executives Dave Tabors and Morad Elhafed will join SingleHop co-founders Dan Ushman and Zak Boc on the cloud provider's board of directors.
SingleHop, Chicago, offers scalable, on-demand, infrastructure services to end users and resellers. It has clients in 114 countries, two Chicago-area data centers and more than 10,000 servers online.
The provider delivers hardware, server management customization and Infrastructure-as-a-Service.
Vyatta vPlane Speeds Cloud Networks
Belmont, Calif.-based Vyatta Wednesday released its vPlane technology designed to improve capabilities of virtualized data centers for cloud networks. Vyatta vPlane's fast-path architecture speeds data delivery to allow virtualized data centers to handle complex, network traffic problems.
Robert Bays, Vyatta's CTO, said vPlane will be the underpinning of future products released by the company. Vyatta is expected to unveil the first products taking advantage of vPlane technology later this year.
Avanade Intros Cloud Services Manager
Seattle-based solution provider Avanade unveiled Cloud Services Manager, which helps companies deploy cloud services across multiple vendor environments, including VMware, Citrix and Microsoft, and supports Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services, the company said.
With Cloud Services Manager, users get a single view of private cloud services that can be customized to design, organize and manage IT services.
CHR Solutions In Deal With Kalona Cooperative Telephone
Cloud technology provider CHR Solutions said Tuesday that it partnered with telecommunications firm Kalona Cooperative Telephone Co. (KCTC) to offer cloud applications and services to SMBs.
CHR Solutions, Houston, will provide KCTC with infrastructure, technology and platform services to enable KCTC to manage its applications and services in the cloud.
With the partnership, KCTC, Kalona, Iowa, is responding to SMB customers who are seeking services, including productivity solutions, online backup and storage, and Web hosting, KCTC said.
CHR Solutions provides business process outsourcing, engineering, software, cloud and managed IT services to communications service providers.
Cloud Sherpas Offers CipherCloud Encryption
Solution provider Cloud Sherpas said Thursday it will offer CipherCloud's encryption gateway technology to its customers.
San Jose, Calif.-based CipherCloud's technology secures sensitive data in public and private cloud applications via encryption, tokenization, activity monitoring and malware detection.
Cloud Sherpas, Atlanta, partners with Google and Salesforce.com.
OS33 Invites Small MSPs To Join Cloud Program
Cloud provider OS33 said Thursday that small managed services providers can build cloud services through its Master MSPs program.
OS33's Master MSPs, including LevelCloud and PointClickWork, will help MSPs with 10 or fewer employees to offer full cloud services powered by OS33, which previously were only available to much larger service providers.
New York-based OS33's technology platform allows MSPs to provision cloud-based infrastructure resources, publish applications, select from a catalog of preintegrated business software, activate third-party SaaS offerings, and manage permissions.
