The Daily App: Enotify PDF Lite for iPhone
Often, when reporting an incident - whether it’s related to Information Technology, inventory or a fender bender - the best method is to get in, assemble information quickly, and get out.
But that doesn’t mean skimping on details or information that could be vital to others on a team who need to evaluate the incident and take action. Apps are beginning to emerge that take advantage of the iPhone's hardware to gather a wide realm of information fast, assemble it, and then allow you to pass it along to others.
Enotify PDF Lite for iPhone does just that. A free download from the Apple iTunes App Store, by developer InGenius Labs, Enotify PDF Lite brings together GPS, on-board camera, audio recording and note-taking capabilities of the iPhone into a neat, easy-to-use app for incident reporting.
The main dashboard provides options for text-based notes, adding photos of an incident scene, providing a short audio recording and adding your location via the device's GPS. To tie most of it together, the app allows you to PDF photos, text and location information into a single document; when you email it all, the audio file is attached separately.
A pay version of this app is available for $1.99, and provides several different custom report "types," including crime reports, property damage reports, fire reports and more. However, this also requires signing up for an account via the Web.
We like apps that that take full advantage of the iPhone's hardware functionality for a real purpose, and Enotify PDF Lite does just that.
