Cisco's Web Site Hit With Outage

Web site networking issued a statement on its blog

Cisco offered little detail on what particular areas of the site have been impacted but said it is investigating the problem.

"Earlier this morning, Cisco.com experienced some issues that impacted access to certain applications on the site. Currently, Cisco.com is accessible and we are in the process of conducting a thorough investigation to determine the cause and full impact," according to the statement. "We thank our customers, partners and other site users for their patience."

Features such as the search function returned error messages noting that the site is having problems and exhorted users to "please try again later."
