From Boardrooms To Action: ThinkHub And ITELOGIC Forge Alliance Targeting the Mining Sector
At XChange LATAM 2025, a Chilean company and an Argentine company found a shared opportunity in the mining sector, sparking the potential for high-impact cross-border collaboration.
For the first time in Latin America, the exclusive XChange event gathered manufacturers, integrators, and IT channels from across the region in Bariloche, Argentina, with a strong focus on business development and B2B networking. In this setting, two companies—one Chilean and the other Argentine—found a shared opportunity in the mining sector, sparking the potential for high-impact cross-border collaboration.
From May 19 to 21, Bariloche became the epicenter of one of the most anticipated gatherings of the year within the IT channel ecosystem. Organized by The Channel Company and ITSitio Group, XChange LATAM made its debut in the region with a mission: to foster meaningful connections between vendors and channels, open new business opportunities, and spark strategic conversations among key industry players.
One of the most productive spaces at the event were the boardrooms—closed-door discussions that allow participants to exchange ideas and experiences beyond the traditional conference format.

It was in one of these sessions that Claudio Padilla, founder of ITELOGIC (Chile), and Gastón Ignacio Margueritte, partner and CFO of ThinkHub (Argentina), discovered a common ground that could mark the beginning of an international collaboration focused on the mining industry.
Mining Experience That Inspires Collaboration
“Our first meeting happened within the mining niche. During the presentations, we both showcased our mining success stories and realized right away that what he does, we don’t, and vice versa. And we understood there was a strong opportunity to collaborate that could help both of us cross borders,” Margueritte explained.
Padilla, in turn, emphasized the value of applied knowledge in this specific industry: “This happens particularly in mining, which is a very unique niche. Experience in solving problems is crucial. That transfer of knowledge—which we’re already doing—is vital when it comes to the client.”
Complementary Solutions With High Added Value
The two companies offer highly complementary solutions. ITELOGIC specializes in mission-critical infrastructure for data centers, especially in energy backup and storage, while ThinkHub positions itself as a technology partner in digital transformation processes, focusing on integration, automation, and cloud services.
Padilla shared a compelling use case in which his company installed 13 megawatts of backup energy for a mining operation that was losing millions due to intermittent power outages. “We solved it through a technological solution. Capex is defined, and the project takes off,” he noted.
Meanwhile, Margueritte recounted a case with a mining company in Jujuy, Argentina: “We provide professional services to the mining firm in Jujuy, which allowed their IT department to save significantly thanks to the hours invested by our team—not only for Cisco solutions but for others as well.”
What’s most promising is that both companies are already working to replicate these success stories across the border, capitalizing on their synergistic offerings and the trust built during the event. “The idea is to take this experience, these solutions and services, and bring them to a mining company in Chile,” said Margueritte. Padilla added, “The next step is to understand in detail the solution, the problem it solved, and with that experience, set up a meeting with our current clients—where we already have active service contracts—and see if there’s a similar need we can address with that proven solution.”
The Channel As A Strategic Partner: A Regional Trend
This type of event reflects a growing trend in the IT ecosystem: channels are evolving from mere resellers to true strategic partners, capable of co-creating solutions, adding value to projects, and expanding their reach beyond national borders.
XChange LATAM proved to be more than just a space for business—it became a real platform to rethink the role of the channel through a collaborative lens, where shared knowledge, success stories, and mutual trust drive growth. As Margueritte put it, “Sharing success stories, plain and simple. For the client, knowing that another mining company in the same sector is implementing this solution and it works—that’s a success story. It’s the best kind of reference.”
Bariloche was just the starting point. The alliances formed at this event may well shape the future direction of the IT channel in Latin America.
