The quarterfinals of the CRN Channel Madness Tournament saw come-from-behind wins for two victors.

The quarterfinals of the CRN Channel Madness Tournament closed out with two come-from-behind victories from channel chiefs who refused to fade away.

With titles up for grabs in the Transformation, Acceleration, Innovation and Evolution regions, here’s a look at which of the Enterprise Eight are moving on to the Field of Four.

In the Transformation region, tournament rookie Michael DePalma of OpenText gutted out a win with 57 percent of the vote against former Channel Madness Champion Kevin Rooney of Veeam Software, who ended with 43 percent. DePalma had been trailing yesterday but found a way to fight back.

In the Innovation region, Sophos’ Scott Barlow revamped his game plan over the last 12 hours, orchestrating a rally that landed him 64 percent of the vote in his contest against Broadcom’s Tara Fine, who had 36 percent. Barlow had been trailing yesterday.

In the Acceleration region, 1Password’s Lori Cornmesser held on to bring in 62 percent of the vote and the win against Kaseya’s Dan Tomaszewski, who ended with 38 percent.

Meanwhile in the Evolution region, defending champion Tom Evans of Cloudflare was able to maintain his lead over Lenovo’s Rob Cato. Evans ended with 67 percent of the vote to Cato’s 33 percent.

That means DePalma and Cornmesser will square off in Round 4 while Barlow faces Evans in the other Field of Four matchup.
