iTRACS Offers Physical Layer Manager

iTRACS, which makes cable-management software, has released the latest version of its physical-layer management software, which provides government agencies with enhanced network security by detecting attacks that happen from within.

Physical Layer Manager 8.0 identifies the physical locations of devices, traces physical connectivity and continually monitors the network for unauthorized devices and login attempts. This version also provides identity-authentication through the iTRACS iLogin module, which detects login-based anomalies.

New to this version is iDiscover, which queries network devices and leverages the WMI API and Simple Network Management Protocol to provide analysis of systems, plus iTRACS iPBX and iTRACS Data Center Libraries. In addition, the software offers Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA, ITIL and E911 compliance, enabling solution providers to develop network-security solutions.
