AWS, UiPath, Microsoft, Nvidia, SAP and SoftwareOne were among the tech companies making key executive hires and moves in June 2024.
New CEOs at Amazon Web Services and UiPath plus a chief artificial intelligence officer at Microsoft.
Matt Garman, an 18-year AWS veteran; Daniel Dines, UiPath’s co-founder; and Vassili Patrikis, previously with Amazon, were some of the biggest executive moves in June.

June Tech Exec Moves
Nvidia, SAP and SoftwareOne were among the other tech giants to make executive moves during the month as companies invest in resources for sales, technology and partners.
Those executives were:
- Howard Wright, formerly with AWS
- Natalie Han, formerly with Google
- Jorge Contreras, formerly of Siemens Healthineers

Howard Wright
Wright joined Nvidia in June, taking on the role of startup ecosystem vice president.
Wright came to the Santa Clara, Calif.-based chipmaker after about two years with Amazon Web Services, according to his LinkedIn account. He left AWS with the title of vice president and global head of startups.
His resume includes serving as president and CEO of C360 Technologies, a Wexford, Pa.-based startup developing computer vision-based solutions for enabling sports broadcasters to create immersive experiences. It was acquired by live entertainment tech vendor Cosm in 2023.
Wright entered the tech world after playing basketball professionally, which included stints playing for the Atlanta Hawks, Orlando Magic and Dallas Mavericks.
Nvidia has about 1,600 channel partners worldwide, according to CRN’s 2024 Channel Chiefs.
Linda Brainard
Brainard joined Bell Techlogix in June, taking on the role of vice president of client services.
Brainard came to the Indianapolis-based company—No. 218 on CRN’s 2024 Solution Provider 500—after about seven years with Kaman Aerospace, according to her LinkedIn account. She left Kaman with the title of head of service delivery.
Her resume includes about 17 years with GE Power and Alstom Power, which GE bought in 2015. She left GE with the title of IT director.
Vassili Patrikis
Microsoft hired Patrikis as its new chief AI officer in June.
Patrikis joined the Redmond, Wash.-based tech giant after about seven years with Amazon, according to his LinkedIn account. He left Amazon with the title of principal AI, machine learning and data engineer for Amazon Web Services National Security (NatSec).
His resume includes about three years with Accenture. He left the solution provider in 2017 with the title of director of big data and research and development innovation labs architect.
Microsoft has more than 400,000 partners worldwide, according to CRN’s 2024 Channel Chiefs.
Matt Garman
Garman officially started as Amazon Web Services CEO on June 3, succeeding Adam Selipsky.
Garman previously served as the Seattle-based cloud giant’s senior vice president of AWS sales, marketing and global services, according to his LinkedIn account.
He joined AWS in 2006 as a project manager for software development for AWS Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2).
AWS has more than 130,000 partners worldwide, according to CRN’s 2024 Channel Chiefs.
Natalie Han
In June, SAP brought on Han as its new vice president and business AI chief product officer.
Han joined the Germany-based enterprise application vendor after more than four years with Google. She left Google with the title of head of data science and AI for devices and services, according to her LinkedIn account.
Her resume includes more than a year with Intuit. She left the company with the title of group manager for Intuit AI.
SAP has more than 25,000 partners worldwide, according to CRN’s 2024 Channel Chiefs.
Kirk Law
Law returned to Salesforce in June, taking on the role of senior vice president of engineering for Salesforce industries.
Law came back to the San Francisco-based CRM software vendor after about three years with Cohesity, according to his LinkedIn account.
Before Cohesity, Law worked at Tableau for about three years, leaving in 2021 with the title of senior vice president of product development for data platform technology. Salesforce closed on its deal to buy Tableau in 2019.
Salesforce has more than 11,000 partners worldwide, according to the vendor. He left Cohesity with the title of chief development officer and adviser to CEO Sanjay Poonen.
Daniel Dines
Dines returned to the role of UiPath CEO effective June 1.
Previously the New York-based AI and automation vendor’s chief innovation officer, Dines — who co-founded UiPath in 2005—succeeded former CEO Rob Enslin.
Dines’ resume includes about four years with Microsoft as a software development engineer, according to his LinkedIn account.
UiPath offers a partner program for consultancies, system integrators and other partner business models.
Jorge Contreras
Contreras came to SoftwareOne in June, taking on the role of CFO for the Americas.
Contreras joined the Milwaukee-based company —a member of CRN’s 2024 MSP 500—after about three years with Siemens Healthineers, according to his LinkedIn account.
His resume includes about six years with Hewlett Packard Enterprise. He left HPE in 2019 with the title of senior director and global IT CFO.
Michelle Hartley Graff
In June, Hartley Graff joined Wiz as vice president of global partner strategy.
Graff came to the New York-based security vendor after about two years with Securiti, according to her LinkedIn account. She left Securiti with the title of vice president of global channels and alliances.
Her resume includes about three years as global partner chief and head of worldwide partner sales at HashiCorp. She left the company in 2022.
Wiz has about 190 channel partners worldwide, according to CRN’s 2024 Channel Chiefs.
Moises DelToro III
General Dynamics IT hired DelToro III in June, making him CTO for its Navy and Marine Corps business.
DelToro joined the Falls Church, Va.-based company — No. 14 on CRN’s 2024 Solution Provider 500—after more than two years with GE Power, according to his LinkedIn account. He left with the title of vice president of Marine business development in North America. In April, GE completed the spinoff of its Power and Renewable Energy segments into the new GE Vernova company.
He is a retired U.S. Navy rear admiral who served as commander of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center and deputy commander of undersea warfare, according to his LinkedIn account.
Bratin Saha
Saha came to DigitalOcean in June, taking on the role of chief product and technology officer.
Saha joined the New York-based cloud provider after about six years with Amazon, according to his LinkedIn account. He left Amazon with the title of vice president and general manager for AI and machine learning and data infrastructure.
His resume includes about two years with Nvidia as a vice president and about 14 years with Intel, according to his LinkedIn account. He left Intel in 2016 with the title of senior director of software development.
DigitalOcean has a partner program for MSPs, agencies, systems integrators and other partner business models.
John Tavares
In June, Orca Security hired Tavares as senior vice president of worldwide partner and alliances sales.
Tavares joined the Portland, Ore.-based security vendor after about two years with Zscaler, according to his LinkedIn account. He left Zscaler with the title of vice president of partners and alliances.
His resume includes about two years with Commvault. He left in 2022 with the title of vice president of global channels and alliances.
Orca has a partner program for service providers and other partner business models.
Mark Ralls
Auvik hired Ralls in June, tasking him with the role of president of worldwide field operations.
Ralls came to the Waterloo, Ontario-based MSP tools vendor after about a year with ActivTrak, according to his LinkedIn account. He left ActivTrak with the title of CEO.
His resume includes about three years with Invicti as president and COO. He left the company in 2022.

Saurabh Tiwary
Tiwary returned to Google in June, taking on the role of vice president and general manager of its cloud AI business.
Tiwary came back to the Mountain View, Calif.-based cloud vendor after about 12 years with Microsoft, according to his LinkedIn account. He left Microsoft with the title of corporate vice president, working on Copilot experiences.
He previously worked at Google for about three years, leaving in 2013 as a software engineer in the search business.

Dan Lasher
Lasher became CIO and CISO of D&H Distributing in June.
Lasher joined the Harrisburg, Pa.-based distributor after about 32 years with TD Synnex and its predecessor Tech Data, according to his LinkedIn account.
He joined Tech Data in 1992 as project manager and lead developer of the distributor’s first eBusiness system, according to his LinkedIn account.
D&H has about 25,000 channel partners in North America, according to CRN’s 2024 Channel Chiefs.
Lisa Schuder
In June, Schuder joined ServiceNow, taking on the role of vice president of global partnerships and channels.
Schuder came to the Santa Clara, Calif.-based workflow automation platform provider after about 21 years with Deloitte, according to her LinkedIn account. She left Deloitte with the title of U.S. sustainability ecosystems and alliances leader.
Her resume includes about five years with Oracle. She left the company in 2002 with the title of alliances director.
ServiceNow has about 2,200 channel partners worldwide, according to CRN’s 2024 Channel Chiefs.
Shane Singh
Zscaler hired Singh in June as senior vice president of global support.
Singh joined the San Jose, Calif.-based security vendor after about seven years with Sophos, according to his LinkedIn account. He left Sophos with the title of senior vice president of global support and customer success.
His resume includes about 10 years with Vision Critical, which changed its name to Alida in 2020. He left Vision Critical in 2017 with the title of senior vice president of customer success, support and operations.
Zscaler has about 3,600 channel partners worldwide, according to CRN’s 2024 Channel Chiefs.
Ka Yi Lau
Pure Storage hired Lau as its new vice president and corporate controller in June.
Lau joined the Santa Clara, Calif.-based data storage vendor after about 10 years with VMware, according to her LinkedIn account. She left VMware with the vice president and corporate controller title. Broadcom completed its purchase of VMware in November.
Her resume includes about 11 years with KPMG. She left the firm in 2014 with the title of audit senior manager.
Shoba Pfaff
Pfaff became vice president of the global SAP center of excellence at Capgemini in June.
Pfaff joined the France-based company — No. 4 on CRN’s 2024 Solution Provider 500—after about five years with SAP, according to her LinkedIn account. She left SAP with the title of senior principal for value advisory.
Her resume includes about nine years with HCLTech. She left the solution provider in 2019 with the title of senior director of sales for aerospace and defense.
Mike Minahan
In June, Minahan came to Leidos as senior vice president of international business development.
Minahan joined the Reston, Va.-based company—No. 10 on CRN’s 2024 Solution Provider 500 —after more than 10 years with Lockheed Martin, according to his LinkedIn account. He left Lockheed Martin with the title of vice president of government affairs and global program support.
In the U.S. Air Force, he attained the rank of brigadier general. He also served as principal director for Middle East policy in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, according to his LinkedIn account.
Emily Harnish
Harnish became CMO of Converge Technology Solutions in June.
Harnish joined the Gatineau, Quebec-based company —a member of CRN’s 2024 MSP 500—after about two years with CivicPlus, according to her LinkedIn account. She left CivicPlus with the CMO title.
Her resume includes about two years with Microsoft. She left the tech giant in 2019 with the title of head of U.S. small and midsize business marketing and operations.
Michael Johnson
In June, Ahead brought Johnson on as new vice president of sales for digital solutions.

In June, Trace3 hired Hagopian as senior vice president of services.

Amanda Rohrs
In June, Rohrs joined GuidePoint Security as vice president of change management and transformation.
Rohrs came to the Herndon, Va.-based company —a member of CRN’s 2024 MSP 500—after more than four years with Coalfire.
She left Coalfire with the title of vice president of the project management office and operations, according to her LinkedIn account.
Vugar Shahtakhtinskiy
Shahtakhtinskiy became vice president, corporate controller, at Dexian in June.
Shahtakhtinskiy joined the McLean, Va.-based company —No. 47 on CRN’s 2024 Solution Provider 500—after about four years with HC Salon Holdings, owner of the Hair Cuttery salon chain. He left the company with the title of corporate controller, according to his LinkedIn account.

Prerak Bathia
Insight in June hired Bathia as its new chief strategy and transformation officer.

Katie Kirschner
Kirschner joined Kyndryl in June as vice president and industry partner.

Cari Hash
Hash returned to Compucom in June, taking on the role of vice president of sales.
