Compliance IT To Sport Double-Digit Growth Through 2009
The global market for compliance information management will grow at a 22 percent compound annual growth rate through the 2005 to 2009 period, and pass the $20 billion mark for the first time in 2009, said IDC.
Among the drivers for this surge in spending, said Julie Rahal Marobella, a senior research analyst with IDC and the author of the report, will be more attention to litigation support and electronic discovery of documents, and the need to real-time analysis of IT systems.
"There is an increased onus on IT departments to audit, monitor, and report on all systems," said Marobella in a statement. "This increased need will drive organizations to invest in technologies and services that help to ensure sustainability of compliance-related processes and mitigate risk."
