SAP Unveils Analytic Composite Apps, MySAP-Business One Integration

The more than 100 new SAP Analytics components, for instance, make use of NetWeaver's services-oriented architecture to pull data from any application. Customers use these prebuilt components to analyze specific scenarios. As an example, SAP Analytics for credit management helps financial services companies view an individual's credit information, buying behavior, purchases and credit lines. Users can perform additional actions -- such as blocking or authorizing purchases -- from within the composite app.

In addition, all SAP Analytics components - whether written by SAP or created later by ISV partners -make use of enlivening visualization tools from Macromedia. "With Macromedia's user interface technology, analytics can deliver a new level of visual interpretation," said an SAP spokesman.

The Walldorf, Germany-based company also introduced its SAP NetWeaver Subsidiary Connectivity Solution. That ungainly moniker describes software to create global templates and preconfigure content shared between mySAP at the enterprise customer's main office and SAP Business One at subsidiaries' locations. SAP's internal organization will sell the software directly to enterprise customers. But, said SAP's spokesman, leads for Business One will be passed on to SAP's channel partners.

"The opportunity for partners is this immediately makes Business One even more attractive for tens of thousands of companies in the enterprise customers' ecosystems," said the spokesman.
