Infinity Info Adds More CRM Expertise With Trexis Buy
Sage Software Microsoft lineups
Terms were not disclosed, but Infinity CEO Yacov Wrocherinsky said most of Trexis' dozen employees will come over. Total head count of the combined company, which will carry the Infinity Info Systems moniker, is 55 people.
The deal brings New York-based Infinity more geographical and product line coverage. Trexis is based in Valley Cottage, N.Y., with offices in Wilton, Conn., Newtown, Pa., and Nashville, Tenn.
"Trexis is very strong in Sage and Saleslogix; they've been around for 20 years and have hundreds of customers," Wrocherinsky said.
Infinity itself has a large Sage practice as well as a growing Microsoft CRM and SharePoint practice.
Wrocherinsky expects business to spurt with the availability of Microsoft Dynamics CRM next month and can use the extra hands and expertise. Microsoft "got it right with this release. They've addressed GUI issues, they've added the marketing modules to sales and customer service modules, and they've taken a lot of clicks out of the process," he noted.
Microsoft partners said the earlier 1.0 and 1.2 CRM releases were difficult to navigate because they required so many click-throughs and pop-up screens. One big goal of the new release has been to eliminate that, Microsoft has said.
CRN earlier this month broke the news of Microsoft CRM's new pricing and packaging.
