SAP Offers Prepackaged Solutions For Common Business Problems
SAP works with complementary third-party software developers such as Easy Software, Esker and Readsoft to create the prepackaged services for customers who want to augment existing SAP implementations. SAP Direct is an extension of what SAP has done in the past by combining the offerings of SAP software partners and services providers to help enterprises streamline business processes.
Before SAP Direct, if an enterprise wanted to integrate automated fax and e-mail into its SAP system, it would have had to search for software and implementation vendors, evaluate proposals, and them implement the solution. The SAP Direct fax and e-mail solution, by contrast, includes the software, installation, configuration and training, implemented in less than 30 days.
Among the 50 SAP Direct prepackages solutions are those for data archiving, automated purchase invoice processing, Web vendor-managed inventory, fax and e-mail automation, and requisition approval processes among others.
"SAP Direct offers customers what they need: a quick, affordable solution to address a specific need in their business operations," said Kevin Young, vice president of field marketing, SAP America in a statement. "With SAP Direct packaged services, SAP is focused on delivering a targeted set of solutions that will improve, simplify or automate our customers' existing SAP implementation to deliver immediate additional value to their SAP investment."
