SAP To Detail HP, Novell Development Plans At TechEd Conference
SAP and Novell, who already have a partnership built around Novell's SUSE Linux, will announce plans to develop governance, risk and compliance systems based on Novell's identity and security management software, said Zia Yusuf, executive vice president of SAP's global ecosystem and partner group.
The effort will include product integration work and creating a number of go-to-market activities.
SAP and HP will likewise disclose plans to integrate HP's Neoview data warehouse system with SAP's Business Information Warehouse, part of the NetWeaver platform, and SAP's Business Objects business intelligence software, according to Yusuf.
SAP also plans to announce a development partnership with a developer of content management applications, but the identity of the vendor could not be immediately disclosed.
And SAP will detail plans to expand its EcoHub online marketplace for partner solutions to include its 1,100 service partners. Launched last year, EcoHub now has products from about 400 partners. Yusuf said that over time those services would be tied to specific software products. "When we look at an integrated ecosystem as we do, this is a natural step for us," he said, referring to SAP and its partners.
