CA Reportedly Acquiring Israeli SLA Software Developer
CA and Oblicore have signed a $25 million purchase agreement that will be formally announced in the next few days, according to a report in Globes, a financial newspaper in Tel Aviv, Israel. On Monday, a spokeswoman for CA declined to confirm or deny the report.
Oblicore, founded in 2000, develops software used to improve access to applications running on remote servers. Such technology is critical for businesses as they adopt cloud computing and rely more on information technology resources that reside outside their data centers.
In September CA acquired NetQoS, a supplier of network performance management and service delivery software for $200 million. And in June 2009 CA bought for an undisclosed sum the technology assets of Cassatt, including software that helps businesses operate data centers like cloud computing "compute utilities."
