Evergreen Services Group Acquires Digital Origin: ‘They Are The Rocket Fuel We Required’
‘It comes with the promise of deepening the robustness of our business while empowering us to evolve at an accelerated rate,’ says James Evans, CEO of Digital Origin.
Evergreen Services Group has acquired Digital Origin, adding a second U.K.-based IT services provider to its portfolio.
“We’re excited about the scale and geographic presence that Digital Origin would bring us in the U.K. market but equally as excited by the service offering and technical expertise,” Sydney Hockett, VP of M&A at Evergreen,” told CRN. “Digital Origin has done an incredible job building off a base of IT services offerings and adding complementary services to their portfolio to be a one stop shop for all of customers IT needs.”
Founded in 2018 in Milton Keynes, Digital Origin’s connectivity-as-a-service or (CaaS) business model delivers wholesale IT, MSP and cybersecurity solutions for three sectors, IT connectivity, telephony and mobile solutions.

Knight Corporate Finance acted as advisors to Digital Origin acquisition. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. About 40 employees came over in the deal.
Both companies have a unique approach to helping their clients achieve their goals, and Evergreen's dedication to being a holding company will preserve the legacy and talent Digital Origin provides with the tools to sustain and grow its success.
“Evergreen and its extended family run an ultra-slick organization that shares our aspirational ideals, desire to get things done and believe in empowerment of their teams and captains,” James Evans, CEO of Digital Origin, told CRN in an email. “How could anyone not be excited about that? In the short time I have worked alongside them you cannot help notice their enthusiasm for adventure to create something amazing, which is infectious.”
With access to Evergreen’s senior team for support, Evans said the next leg of Digital Origin’s journey will be born out of a shared vision and commitment to excellence.
“It comes with the promise of deepening the robustness of our business while empowering us to evolve at an accelerated rate,” he said. “They are the rocket fuel we required for the next chapter of the Digital Origin story, we are imbued by their growth, expertise and culture.”
Evergreen first expanded into the U.K. with the acquisition of London-based The Final Step in September.
The holding company has more than 65 solution providers under its umbrella but also acquires verticals such as government and financial services firms. It acquired more than 20 companies in the last year and is ramping up to several a month.
