Syncro CEO Emily Glass Departs: ‘Time To Reflect, Refresh And Refocus’
‘My heartfelt thanks to the Syncro team of wonderfully talented, diverse, passionate and caring people. I looked forward to working with you every day to discover new ways to deliver essential technology for MSPs,’ Syncro CEO Emily Glass wrote on LinkedIn.
After two-and-a-half years as CEO of Syncro, Emily Glass is stepping down from her position.
“Being a part of Syncro's journey as CEO, president and board member has been incredibly exciting,” Glass wrote on LinkedIn on Thursday. “Already enamoured with MSPs and helping to solve their challenges, I learned even more about how unique and rewarding this space can be.”
Glass took on the position as CEO of the professional services automation (PSA) and remote monitoring and management (RMM} vendor in November 2021. It is unclear of her future plans following her departure.
“My heartfelt thanks to the Syncro team of wonderfully talented, diverse, passionate and caring people,” her LinkedIn post continued. “I looked forward to working with you every day to discover new ways to deliver essential technology for MSPs. I learned so much about how to inspire and lead remotely; you modeled best practices and enabled me to show up at my best. Your dedication and willingness to grow with me was a highlight of our time together. I am grateful for some time to reflect, refresh, and refocus before taking on my next adventure.”
“Emily stepped down to pursue other opportunities. We’ve got an extremely strong leadership team in place who continue to drive our strategy and execution," a spokesperson for the company told CRN. "Our board and team of advisors are extremely active in the business given it is made up of our former founders and other people with deep knowledge and experience in the industry. The company initiated a search for a new CEO some time ago and has found an exceptional industry veteran who will be announced shortly.”

Glass spent five years at Datto, holding multiple positions including chief product officer, customer experience officer and vice president of customer experience before becoming CEO of Syncro.
Aside from heading up daily operations, Glass was a champion for DEI efforts across the company.
“Representation is something I’m extremely passionate about,’ Glass told CRN in March 2023. ‘I was deliberate in constructing this team to make sure to inspire all of our team members and to hire the best people. Syncro promotes a healthy work environment, and part of that, for me, is making sure that each employee and partner reach their full potential.”
During her time as CEO, she built an executive team that is 70 percent women and 43 percent BIPOC (black, Indigenous and people of color).
“I’m very proud to have been able to assemble this team that’s so diverse and talented, and this is what will propel us forward,” she said last March. “I hope it can serve as an example to others, as there’s still more work to do.”
Under her leadership, Syncro implemented a refresh to its resource center that enhanced its dedication to helping MSPs be more successful. Through the resource center, the company revamped its blog that provides how-to advice, business best practices and tips on how to best leverage Syncro’s tools and features. A new podcast, Workflow for MSPs, was also launched to help MSPs “find their flow” and expertly harness their tech business.
“Syncro‘s mission is to make life better for MSPs,” Glass said in 2022. “With our new and refreshed content programs, we aim to deliver on that mission by giving MSPs practical information for running a better business. Our focus is on exploring ways MSPs can be more efficient and profitable, without a ton of stress. We like to call this ‘hitting your success goals without hitting the wall.’”
