Syncro has named former Continuum CEO Michael George to head its company and lead Syncro’s next phase of growth. The software vendor’s most recent CEO, Emily Glass, departed the company last week. Reasons were not clear around her departure.
George will head up Syncro’s next phase of innovation and growth as he comes with more than 25 years of experience as CEO at multiple technology companies. He held the position as CEO of Boston-based vendor Continuum for eight years and drove revenue by more than 500 percent, according to a news release. He also grew Continuum’s workforce from 43 employees to more than 1,400, serving more than 6,800 MSPs managing more than 1.4 million endpoints. Most recently he was CEO of Austin, Texas-based web app security solutions vendor Invicti.
CRN has reached out to Syncro for comment.

In an email to partners that was shared with CRN, George wrote that he is “fully committed to leveraging the company’s vast potential to deliver innovative solutions. Our goal is clear: to deliver solutions enabling you to grow your business profitably.”
He wrote that his goal is to execute three initiatives. The first is a customer-centric focus, “prioritizing the unique needs of our MSP partners to foster their growth and profitability.” The second is a top-tier executive team, “bringing together an executive team with deep expertise in the MSP sector.” The third is a focus on innovation, “delivering innovative solutions leveraging AI, automation and security enabling [MSPs] to operate more effectively, efficiently and profitably.”
“I am eager to bring the above initiatives to Syncro and to work closely with you to ensure our solutions elevate your business operations like never before.”
Paul Rouse, CEO of Monline, Ill.-based Rouse Consulting Group, said partners are fortunate to have George join the company.
“When Michael took the helm at Continuum, he assembled an extraordinary team that delivered on his promise to build amazing, world-class products enabling us to grow our business,” Rouse said in a statement announcing George’s appointment. “At that time as an early customer, my company had six technicians operating at break-even. Today, we are a team of 35 having grown revenues by more than 400 percent with best-in-class profitability. The fact that Michael’s team delivered a highly advanced BDR [backup, disaster and recovery] solution and the first, market leading security offering with an integrated SOC serves as testimony to his innovativeness and deep MSP experience. There is no question that the products delivered under his leadership powered our growth and success.”
