AvePoint Unveils Next-Generation Elements Platform: Exclusive

‘We’ve been investing heavily in the channel and the managed services ecosystem over the last few years, and we’ve seen a significant shift,” says Scott Sacket, senior vice president of partner strategy at AvePoint. ‘Partners are moving away from just reselling licenses and toward managed services. With AI taking center stage, ensuring that data is properly managed and protected is paramount.’

AvePoint has launched the next generation of its purpose-built Elements platform to accelerate the ability of MSPs to deliver secure, scalable and efficient services in an era dominated by data and AI.

The platform, key to AvePoint’s commitment to the MSP ecosystem, promises to enhance operational efficiencies while providing partners with the tools they need to manage data security, governance and resilience for their customers, according to Scott Sacket (pictured), senior vice president of partner strategy at Jersey City, N.J.-based data security and governance company AvePoint.

“We’ve been investing heavily in the channel and the managed services ecosystem over the last few years, and we’ve seen a significant shift,” Sacket told CRN in an exclusive interview. “Partners are moving away from just reselling licenses and toward managed services. With AI taking center stage, ensuring that data is properly managed and protected is paramount.”

The platform’s next-gen iteration enables MSPs to standardize security and compliance configurations across multiple tenants, providing automated insight and simplifying the management of growing data volumes and complex environments.

The biggest advantage, according to Sacket, is how the platform enables MSPs to automate time-consuming operational tasks, such as tenant management, by up to 85 percent. The platform’s ability to simplify multitenancy management is another key advantage. MSPs can manage multiple tenants, permissions and security settings from a single console, making it easier to scale services across diverse customer environments.

And AI features within Elements further enhance its capabilities around data classification by helping auto-classify data based on customer behavior. This identifies redundant or obsolete data that can be archived, making sure that critical data isn’t bogged down in irrelevant information.

“Managing hundreds, even thousands, of tenants manually is a huge challenge for MSPs,” Sacket said. “Our platform automates these tasks so partners can focus on delivering exceptional services to their customers rather than getting bogged down in operations.”

He also highlighted the platform’s proactive approach to security and its renewed commitment to MSPs, which account for more than 50 percent of its annual recurring revenue.

“Security isn’t just about responding to breaches, it’s about having the right policies in place from day one,” he said. “By enforcing those policies proactively, we can help MSPs avoid breaches in the first place. This is what sets us apart from others in the market.”

Looking ahead, AvePoint plans to continue expanding the platform with more managed services features, particularly around cybersecurity, device management and data governance.

“Our message to partners is simple: We are committed to continuing to invest in solutions that help them grow their businesses,” Sacket said. “Our platform is designed to help them achieve success by providing scalable, repeatable services that align with their customers’ needs.”

In addition to its innovation, Stevens Demorcy, executive vice president of research and development at Foxborough, Mass.-based solution provider Thrive, values the partner relationship AvePoint puts forth.

“They are always listening and hearing what we, as the MSP, want to do,” he said in a statement. “[We] want to see within the platform, and that makes it easy to work with them.”
