N-able Launches Vulnerability Management, Microsoft 365 Breach Prevention Features

‘Security is no longer optional, it’s a must-have,’ says N-able CEO John Pagliuca. ‘For MSPs managing the tech infrastructure of large companies, ensuring robust protection against identity breaches is a table stakes level of service.’

N-able announced two major updates to its product suite this week including the introduction of built-in vulnerability management for unified endpoint management (UEM) products, as well as the integration of Adlumin breach prevention for Microsoft 365 into the N-able Ecoverse platform.

The vulnerability management feature is integrated directly into N-able’s UEM solutions, including N-central and N-sight, giving MSPs a single, unified view to identify, prioritize and remediate vulnerabilities across all major operating systems.

“The first thing you need to do is understand the risk before you can remediate the risk,” John Pagliuca, CEO of the Burlington, Mass.-based software vendor, told CRN. “What vulnerability management does is scan your entire environment whether it’s endpoints, networks or cloud systems, and identifies known vulnerabilities. Once these vulnerabilities are uncovered, the solution guides MSPs in taking the necessary actions to mitigate the risks.”

Cyberattacks are increasingly exploiting vulnerabilities in endpoints, particularly within operating systems and applications. An average of 133 CVEs (common vulnerabilities and exposures) disclosed daily in 2025, according to N-able. But with the built-in vulnerability management, MSPs can now continuously scan for vulnerabilities and quickly address risks.

“Vulnerability management in the RMM platform is a huge addition,” Dustin Bolander, founder and managing partner of Austin, Texas-based MSP Clear Guidance Partners, told CRN. “It is quickly becoming table stakes security, and now N-able partners have one less tool to purchase and manage.”

Key benefits include complete insights into vulnerabilities, including severity scoring and CVE details, unified workflows and automated remediation. Future updates will include network and cloud vulnerability management.

“Imagine going to a new customer and showing them a list of vulnerabilities in their systems,” Pagliuca said. “Then offering to clean them up with the promise of continued scans to address new vulnerabilities in the future. Both vendors and the broader community are constantly discovering new vulnerabilities, making it more critical than ever for MSPs to stay on top of these issues.”

Additionally, N-able now offers Microsoft 365 management capabilities by adding Adlumin breach prevention to the N-able Ecoverse platform.

Adlumin, which N-able acquired in November 2024, uses machine learning to analyze Microsoft 365 telemetry and establishes baselines for user behavior, detecting any malicious behavior. “Over two-thirds of breaches today begin with identity theft, particularly targeting Microsoft login credentials,” “Pagliuca said. “Once attackers gain access to a Microsoft account, they can move laterally through an organization, exploiting single sign-on to access multiple systems.

“This integration ensures that MSPs don’t have to stay up all night monitoring accounts,” he added. “If an issue arises, the system will flag it or even shut it down. This breach prevention is critical because we know identity-based attacks are the most common method of entry. It’s a fundamental security measure and we believe it’s something all MSPs and mid-market companies should have in place.”

The breach prevention feature is part of N-able’s broader strategy to deliver end-to-end security for Microsoft 365 environments and provides protection against account takeovers, credential theft and unauthorized access.

Capabilities include Microsoft 365 Backup, Windows 365 Management , continuous monitoring and id management and email security.

“Security is no longer optional, it’s a must-have,” the CEO said. “For MSPs managing the tech infrastructure of large companies, ensuring robust protection against identity breaches is a table stakes level of service.”
