PCH Technologies Joins Evergreen Portfolio In Move to Scale AI-Driven MSP Growth
‘I didn’t want PCH to be swallowed into a large, integrated company that loses its identity,’ says Tim Guim, PCH Technologies CEO. ‘Evergreen keeps management in place, honors regional strengths and helps add scale without disruption. That’s huge for us and for our customers.’
Evergreen Services Group has acquired New Jersey-based PCH Technologies as the MSP looks to accelerate growth and expand service capabilities around AI – all while preserving the company's strong local identity.
Tim Guim, founder and CEO of PCH, said the decision wasn’t about selling the business but about finding the right partner to take it to the next level.
“It wasn’t about selling for me. It was about seeking an investment,” Guim (pictured) told CRN in an exclusive interview. “We've been up against private equity time and again trying to grow through acquisition ourselves. It became clear that bringing on a partner who’s forward-thinking about AI and scale was the best next step.”

He said that Evergreen’s approach, one that respects founder-led leadership and local cultures, was critical to his decision.
“I didn’t want PCH to be swallowed into a large, integrated company that loses its identity,” he said. “Evergreen keeps management in place, honors regional strengths and helps add scale without disruption. That’s huge for us and for our customers.”
The Sewell, N.J.-based MSP has 26 employees coming along within the acquisition, with Guim continuing as CEO. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Clients can expect the same service, team and experience – just with greater capabilities behind the scenes.
One of the key drivers behind the decision was the rapid evolution of AI in the MSP space.
“We’re at an inflection point,” said Guim. “AI isn’t just coming, it’s here. And you either commit to scaling around it or fall behind. I wanted a partner who sees that too. It’s about combining forces. We can learn from one another, build best practices, and offer truly innovative solutions.”
Sydney Hockett, vice president of San Francisco-based holding company Evergreen, said PCH aligns with Evergreen’s increasing focus on forward-thinking MSPs.
“Tim talked about integrity and I’d say that goes both ways,” Hockett said. “He’s built a high-integrity, high-talent team and we’re not here to change that. We partner with MSPs who are already strong. We don’t integrate, we empower.”
For Guim, he’s most looking forward to continuing “to build a best-in-class MSP.”
“I want to share ideas, grow our AI practice and scale what we’ve built all while keeping our Jersey roots,” he said.
