The 7 Biggest Announcements From Pax8 Beyond
‘This is the dawn of something entirely different, a world powered not by legacy, not by size but by ideas,’ says Pax8 CEO Scott Chasin. ‘Ideas and agents.’
The highlight was Pax8’s inaugural research report, “The Agentic Inflection Point,” which predicts a shift in how MSPs and SMBs will operate, driven by autonomous AI agents that think, reason and act independently.
“In five years, work will be unrecognizable,” said Scott Chasin CEO of Greenwood Village, Colorado-based cloud marketplace Pax8 (pictured). “There won’t be an app for that, there’ll be an agent for that.”
The announcements were unveiled this week at Pax8’s Beyond conference in Denver, which attracted about 3,400 attendees.
To help MSPs navigate this transformation, Pax8 introduced a Data and AI Guided Growth Program and an AI toolkit to enable MSPs on their AI journey. Security also got a major boost with cybersecurity vendor Check Point Software Technologies expanding its presence on the Pax8 marketplace offering partners streamlined access to AI-powered cybersecurity tools.
“We’re all looking for innovation, and I think when MSPs start exploring and getting into the guts of what we’re doing from a tech perspective, it is growing,” said Rob Rae, corporate VP of community and partner experience at Pax8.
“This is the dawn of something entirely different, a world powered not by legacy, not by size but by ideas,” Chasin said. “Ideas and agents.”
From AI toolkits to security upgrades to partner experience, here are the seven biggest announcements from Pax8 Beyond.
The Agentic Inflection Point And Managed Intelligence
Pax8 released its inaugural research report, “The Agentic Inflection Point: And the Rise of the Managed Intelligence Provider ,” signaling a major shift in how SMBs will operate in the era of AI-driven automation.
The report outlines the future of SMB operations reshaped by agentic labor and easier access to enterprise-grade technology. It also described managed intelligence, which is a framework to help MSPs adapt to the shift to AI and navigate the rise of agentic systems.
“This is the dawn of something entirely different,” Pax8 CEO Scott Chasin said during his keynote. “A world powered not by legacy, not by size, but by ideas. Ideas and agents.”
Chasin also laid out a vision of an “idea economy” built on AI agents where software doesn’t just automate tasks but thinks, reasons and acts independently.
And as agentic AI becomes more common, new pricing models will emerge based on the results it delivers. Four main models that are expected are per agent, per action, per workflow and per outcome.
Other key findings in the report include the evolution of AI agents, from chatbots to digital workforces, which will transform MSPs into managed intelligence providers (MIPs). Chasin predicts that MIPs will act as advisors to their clients orchestrating intelligent agents to drive business outcomes rather than just providing IT support.
“In five years, work will be unrecognizable,” he said. “There won’t be an app for that, there’ll be an agent for that.”
Data And AI Guided Growth Program Helps MSPs Embrace AI
The Data and AI Guided Growth program helps MSPs overcome challenges in AI adoption, shares best practices and educates them on building AI solutions, gaining buy-in, implementation and ongoing optimization.
The program starts with an assessment that helps Pax8 understand where an MSP currently stands with AI adoption. Based on the results, MSPs are guided through a personalized learning path and a curriculum that takes a step-by-step approach, starting with ready-to-use AI solutions and advances from there.
“It’s just over 100 courses that cover everything from technology through the business,” Craig Donovan, chief experience officer at Pax8, said in a press panel. “Noone has time to sit down for all 100. So the Guided Growth program is actually a journey, and it’s a framework that starts with an assessment that partners take. It’s about 25-30 questions and we start to evaluate their skills in every aspect of the business around that subject matter. Then we start prescribing courses. Take these five at a time, and then they complete those, and we find and serve up the next five and then the next five. It really helps them grow the business in the way that makes the most sense.”
Managed Intelligence AI Toolkit Helps MSPs Deliver AI Services
The new Managed Intelligence Toolkit will allow MSPs to deliver smarter, AI-driven services. Pax8 is partnering with Microsoft to combine tools like Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry and Entra Agent ID into its cloud platform. This will let MSPs use AI agents to automate business tasks such as sales, operations and customer support.
Key features include pre-built AI agents and customizable templates available through Microsoft Copilot Studio which allows for easier deployment of intelligent solutions. AI agents will also have unique digital identities via Microsoft Entra Agent ID enabling task management across different businesses. Additionally, Pax8 plans to launch a new Agent Marketplace in 2026 with a centralized platform for discovering and deploying AI agents. The company’s Transformation Academy will also offer training programs to help MSPs build, price and manage AI-driven services.
Initial AI features will roll out in summer 2025 , with full launch expected by fall 2025. The full Toolkit will be released in mid-2026 .
Check Point Expands Cybersecurity Offerings on Pax8 Marketplace
Check Point Software Technologies has expanded its cybersecurity offerings on the Pax8 marketplace giving partners easier access to Check Point’s advanced, AI-powered security tools.
The expanded offerings include protection across email, mobile devices, internet browsing and cloud services. Solutions now available through Pax8 include Harmony Email & Collaboration, which uses AI and human intelligence to block 99.2 percent of email threats; Harmony SASE, which enhances internet security with zero trust access and integrated protection for mobile, browser and cloud environments; and Harmony Endpoint, which delivers advanced threat detection for securing remote workforces. Also included are Harmony Mobile, offering mobile device security while preserving user privacy; Harmony Browse, which ensures safe and fast web access; and Infinity MDR, a 24/7 expert-managed service that monitors security across cloud, email, IoT and more.
“The expansion of Check Point’s portfolio on our marketplace represents a significant milestone
in our partnership and underscores our commitment to delivering enterprise-level security
solutions to our MSPs,” Oguo Atuanya, corporate vice president of vendor experience at
Pax8, said in a statement. “Our partners will now have access to the majority of Check Point’s security ecosystem all managed through a single, intuitive platform. This unified approach enables MSPs to deliver cybersecurity strategies to their SMB clients, while streamlining operations and driving greater profitability.”
Public Storefronts, Integration Hub Come To The Marketplace
Pax8’s cloud marketplace, launched last year, received two major upgrades to better service MSPs
The integrations hub is a central place where MSPs can find and manage software tools that work with Pax8. It currently supports 14 integrations with more than 30 more on the way. It also introduces new technology to help AI systems interact more easily with software.
“Our focus here is really helping our MSPs have a toolkit for their own automation, their own streamlining or processes and making their lives easier by creating a hub where they can go in and discover all kinds of tools and plug directly into the Pax8 marketplace,” Libby McIlhany, chief product officer at Pax8, said during a press panel. “We kind of think of it like a central nervous system for our MSPs. They can go in there, find third party vendor integrations, they can check out PSA integrations, get connected through PSA and all kinds of other federated marketplace solutions.”
Public storefronts allow MSPs to create customizable, easy-to-use online storefronts to showcase their services and attract new customers. These storefronts can be used on Pax8 or embedded on a partner’s own website. The storefronts will be available worldwide on July 15.
“What we wanted to do was evolve this storefront so that we could make it a public storefront, and anyone could come in and check out what MSPs had to offer,” McIlhany said. “MSPs put in products that they sell, solutions that they offer and brand it.”
Voyager Alliance Rewards
Voyager Alliance Rewards is a new points-based rewards program that will let partners earn points based on their Voyager Alliance tier and how much they spend in the Pax8 marketplace.
The Voyager Alliance Program is a five-tiered , spend-based model that supports MSPs by aligning benefits, support and enablement with partner growth.
Partners can track their points through a dashboard and redeem them for rewards like vendor deals, professional services and Pax8 Academy offers. The program gives partners more ways to benefit from engaging with Pax8 tools, resources and education.
“This is really a way, we believe, that partners can start to tailor and customize that experience by accruing points every month,” said Donovan. “They’ll be rewarded based on both their tier and their spend and they’ll have a rewards catalog that they can go to and shop for offers, discounts, new initiatives and then redeem those points for the things that are simply the most important to them.”
The program is set to launch in the fall.
Strengthened Partner Engagement With New Initiatives And Leadership
Pax8 has a refreshed focus on partner engagement led by Rob Rae, the new corporate VP of community and partner experience, who will oversee a larger partner experience team aimed at improving support and communication with partners.
Key initiatives include the launch of the Pax8 Partner Voice Network, a new program that will collect partner feedback and share insights across the community; the Partner Advisory Council which has a new structure and leadership; and the Pax8 Facebook Community Page will be revamped to offer more direct interaction and support from the partner experience team.
The changes reflect Pax8’s commitment to listening to its partners and continuously improving their experience.
“We are always evolving to ensure the best alignment internally to support our mission of helping partners succeed,” Rae said in a statement. “So, I’m excited to now lead the partner experience team at Pax8 as a natural progression of our journey. Our whole company cares about partner success, and this team will lead the charge with a sole focus on initiatives that help our partners stay engaged heard and supported.”
