Glassdoor: Top 10 Tech Companies In 2023 For Culture, Values
From Nvidia and VMware to Dropbox and Databricks, here are the top 10 tech companies in 2023 ranked by employees around culture and values.
Every year Glassdoor releases its list of the best companies to work for in the U.S. This week, the workplace review website released a list of the 10 highest-rated tech companies to work for in 2023 based on culture and values. The ranking includes IT giants like Nvidia and VMware and rising stars such as Databricks and Samsara.
“Glassdoor research found that the culture and values of an organization are the most important drivers of employees satisfaction,” said Daniel Zhao, lead economist and senior manager at Glassdoor’s economic research team, in a statement. “And that has not been changed by the pandemic, despite the continued evolution of work.”
Glassdoor received thousands of responses from IT professionals who ranked their employer’s culture and values. Current full-time employees were asked to rate their U.S.-based company on a 1 to 5 scoring system based around culture and values.

Glassdoor Ranking Methodology
Glassdoor’s 2023 new 10 highest-rated tech companies for culture and values list was compiled via ratings on the company’s website from full-time employees between Jan. 1, 2023 to Aug. 30, 2023. The ranking includes U.S.-based tech companies with more than 1,000 employees and with a minimum of 50 Culture and Values ratings. A Glassdoor poll was conducted in late August which received over 5,000 responses from U.S. professionals on the platform.
“ A healthy culture and a strong set of values can have a positive impact on the employee experience, not to mention, can help with retention, productivity, reputation, and more,” said Glassdoor’s Zhao.

No. 10: Adobe

Revenue: $17.6 Billion
Approval of CEO: 94%
Adobe ranks No. 10 on Glassdoor’s list of the highest rated tech companies for culture and values. The San Jose, Calif.-based company received a rating of 4.43. Founded in 1982, Adobe is a global player in digital media and marketing solutions. The company has 27 office locations across the world.
No. 9: VMware
Culture And Values Rating: 4.45
Employee Headcount: Over 10,000
Revenue: $13.3 Billion
Approval of CEO: 80%
Software and hybrid cloud standout VMware ranks No. 9 on Glassdoor’s list of the top rated IT companies for culture and values. The Palo Alto, Calif.-based company generated a rating of 4.45 with the company having 46 offices worldwide. VMware is a global provider of multi-cloud services and digital transformation. Founded in 1998, VMware is set to be acquired by Broadcom for a whopping $61 billion as early as next month.
No. 8: MathWorks

Revenue: $1.25 Billion

Ranking No. 8 on Glassdoor’s list of highest-rated tech companies for culture and values is MathWorks. The Natick, Mass.-based company is a leading developer of mathematical computing software. MathWorks received a 4.46 rating for its culture and value. Founded in 1984, the software company has over 35 offices across the globe.
No. 7: ServiceNow

Revenue: $7.25 Billion
Approval of CEO: 96%
ServiceNow ranks No. 7 on Glassdoor’s top-rated tech companies for culture and values list with a rating of 4.48. The Santa Clara, Calif.-based software company provides solution to help companies manage digital workflows for enterprise operations. Founded in 2004, ServiceNow has 22 offices across the globe.
No. 6: Intuit

Intuit ranks No. 6 on Glassdoor’s list of highest-rated tech companies for culture and values. The Mountain View, Calif.-based company provides a financial platform with more than 100 million customers using its products that include TurboTax, Credit Karma and QuickBooks. Founded in 1983, Intuit generated a 4.55 Glassdoor rating and has approximately 18 office locations in the world.

The Santa Clara, Calif.-based GPU, data center and AI superstar is a pioneer in accelerated computing with more than 50 offices worldwide. Founded in 1993, Nvidia invented the GPU in 1999 and is currently fueling the modern era of AI due to the high demand for its chips.

Databricks ranks No. 4 on Glassdoor’s list of highest-rated tech companies for culture and values with a score of 4.58. The San Francisco-based big data and AI company combines data warehouses and data lakes technology into its Lakehouse Platform. Founded in 2013, Databricks recently scored a $43 billion valuation with 18 office locations across the globe.
No. 3: Deltek

One of the relatively smaller companies to make Glassdoor’s list of highest-rated tech companies for culture and values list is Deltek. The Herndon, Va.-based software and services company is known for providing IT solutions for project-based businesses. Founded in 1983, Deltek generated a 4.61 rating on Glassdoor with six locations in the U.S., Europe and Asia. Deltek CEO Mike Corkery received a 98 percent approval rate, which tied for the highest on Glassdoor’s list.

Samara won the silver medal in Glassdoor’s 2023 list of the highest-rated tech companies for culture and values with a rating of 4.63. The San Francisco-based Internet of Things (IoT) startup enables customers that depend on physical operations to harness IoT data to develop insights and improver operations. Founded in 2015, Samara now has 8 locations across the globe. Samsara CEO Sanjit Biswas received a 98 percent approval rate, which tied for the highest on Glassdoor’s list.

Dropbox took the crown of being the No. 1 highest raked U.S.-based IT company when it comes to culture and values on Glassdoor’s 2023 list. The San Francisco-based file-hosting company provides cloud storage, file synchronization and client software for millions of customers. Founded in 2007, privately held Dropbox has become a household name due to its ability to offer users quick access, management and backup of all their content.
