Trend Micro's 3Q Sales Rise 13 Percent

North American sales for the Tokyo-based company jumped 29 percent year over year and 20 percent from the previous quarter.

Enterprise sales rose 27 percent in both the United States and Asia. Trend Micro said the boost in enterprise sales was spurred by enhanced antispyware, antispam and antiphishing solutions, which resulted from the company&'s second-quarter acquisitions of InterMute and Kelkea.

“In the third quarter, we were very pleased with our progress in delivering multilayered security solutions that are enhanced by our recent acquisitions,” CEO Eva Chen said in a statement.

Trend Micro projects fourth-quarter earnings of $40.3 million on sales of $177 million.
