SAP, Neoris Enter Latin America
The services are based on SAP's NetWeaver technology platform and mySAP SCM, supply chain management software. The companies will offer ways to deploy Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), radio frequency identification (RFID) technology, and mobile applications.
The two companies have worked together since 2002, but Neoris's revenue from SAP business doubled in the past 12 months prompting a formal alliance, said Claudio Muruzabal, Neoris chief executive officer. "We have brought expertise in transportation and logistics from our relationship with SAP in the U.S. market into South America, working with companies, such as Ryder," he said. "We believe SAP will move into a new world were there is a clear trend for specialized services built on modules in NetWeaver."
The NetWeaver modules built on service oriented architecture (SOA) focus today on manufacturing and logistics, but SAP plans to build others in customer relationship management for mobile sales executives, human resources automation, and supply chain management.
Neoris, a five-year-old global IT firm with more than 1,500 consultants and $150 million in annual revenue, grew to become the largest consulting service in Mexico and fourth largest in Latin America through acquisitions. Muruzabal added.
