PC Wholesale is the first distributor for Sharp Systems, which aims to reach the small and midsize solution provider market, said Craig Rittenhouse, Sharp Systems' vice president of marketing.

"[PC Wholesale is a perfect match for Sharp Systems," Rittenhouse said in a statement.

Huntington Beach, Calif.-based Sharp Systems was formed in April 2001 as a subsidiary of Mahwah, N.J.-based Sharp Electronics to sell LCD monitors to the U.S. corporate market. Its notebook line was added several months later.
