Borland Buys StarBase For $24 Million In Second Acquisition Of The Week
The all-cash deal, valued at $24 million, or $2.75 per share, was approved by the boards of both companies, according to a statement issued from Borland Wednesday.
Santa Ana, Calif.-based StarBase provides software configuration management technology, including end-to-end life-cycle capabilities for defining application software and content development, as well as change and configuration management.
StarBase's CaliberRM and StarTeam products provide for development from concept to completion, including visibility, traceability and collaboration throughout the software development process.
Earlier this week, Borland announced the acquisition of development tools vendor BoldSoft, which is based in Sweden. The financial terms of that deal were not disclosed.
