PricewaterhouseCoopers Loses Five On Board Hijacked Planes

PricewaterhouseCoopers said five of its employees, including a management consulting partner, were among the victims who died on board three of the planes hijacked by terrorists on Tuesday.

Patrick Quigley, 40, of Wellesley, Mass., was a management consulting partner with PWC. He was one of three PWC executives on board U.S. Airlines Flight 175, heading to Los Angeles from Boston, which crashed into the south tower at the World Trade Center.

Also on board that flight were PWC Tax and Legal Partner Daniel Brandhorst, 42, of Los Angeles, his 3-year-old son, David Brandhorst, and Brian Kinney, 29, of Lowell, Mass., an audit manager in PWC's Assurance and Business Advisory Services (ABAS) department.

Jessica Sachs, 22, of Billerica, Mass., a PWC accountant, was on board Flight 11, Boston to Los Angeles, which crashed into the north tower at the World Trade Center.

The names of these four employees, obtained from a partial list of victims released by the Associated Press, were confirmed by PWC. The name of the fifth employee who died was not disclosed. PWC itself did not release any names, at the request of the victims' families.

No additional details were available late Thursday.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with their families and friends at this most difficult time, and we extend our deepest sympathies to them and to all the people affected by this tragic event," said Sehra Eusufzai, PWC spokesperson.
