Sysix Acquires Diamond Micro
Sysix Companies Diamond Micro Solutions
The acquisition is expected to more than double Sysix's Sun Microsystems business, according to Sysix CEO John Sheaffer.
"We did about $4 million to $5 million in Sun business this year, and this will double it," he said. "And it gets us into the [San Francisco Bay area."
Financial terms of the deal weren't disclosed.
Sheaffer said the acquisition would help Sysix grow its revenue in 2003 by about 40 percent to nearly $40 million. Under the terms of the agreement, Diamond Micro's sales and consulting operations will be integrated with Sysix infrastructure and consulting practices.
Sysix said it will use the acquisition to open up a West Coast headquarters in San Leandro that will be the base of operations in California, Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, Utah and the Pacific Northwest.
