Deloitte & Touche Continues Search For Employees
Professional services firm Deloitte & Touche said Wednesday it is still working to locate employees who were in offices at the World Financial Center or client locations in lower Manhattan on Sept. 11 when terrorists attacked.
"Our focus and priority right now is to account for our people and determine their well-being. . . . We have made substantial progress, but our job is not yet complete," Deloitte & Touche said in a statement.
The company is asking Deloitte & Touche, Deloitte Consulting and Deloitte Touch Tohmatsu personnel who work in New York to call 1-888-570-5139 to confirm that they are safe. The company said it has also established programs to help employees deal with the aftermath of the tragedy.
Deloitte & Touche said its operations at Two World Financial Center have been disrupted, and efforts are being made to establish alternative locations at other offices in New York, New Jersey or Connecticut.
"We share the appreciation of the people of New York for the incredible efforts and sacrifice of local emergency personnel as well as federal authorities," the statement continued. "We are proud to be a part of the New York community, whose people are responding magnificently to the needs for their fellow citizens."
