SAP Unveils Manufacturing Modules For SMB Market

N2 Consulting now offers FastTrack for the higher-end mySAP All-in-One suite, according to the Richardson, Texas-based ISV. The new module covers a range of business processes found in complex manufacturing, including engineering change requests and change notifications; sales commissions; credit management; actual production costs; and make-, assemble-, and engineering-to-order production processes.

BizTech Consulting Company, South Korea, also developed its new BizExpert software for mySAP All-in-One. According to the company, BizExpert is intended to help high-tech manufacturers deal with industry-specific needs such as bin management and multiple-planning scenarios.

Another SAP ISV partner, SoftBrands, Minneapolis, revealed Monday that it will work closely with SAP's product teams to integrate SoftBrands' Fourth Shift Manufacturing Edition and Fourth Shift Lean Enterprise Automation modules with Business One. Targeting the lower end of the SMB market, Business One is aimed at companies with fewer than 500 employees. When available, SoftBrands' rewritten applications will help smaller batch, make-to-order, mixed-mode and discrete manufacturers run their organizations as well as adapt to the new discipline of lean, or demand-driven, manufacturing.

Last year SAP and its ISV and consulting partners released 120 manufacturing modules for its two SMB suites.
