Carol Giles Neslund was appointed executive director of sales and marketing of Seagate's Americas distribution channel. Neslund comes from McData, a security storage vendor, where she served as vice president of OEM channel development. She's also held positions at StorageTek, IBM and Hitachi Data Systems.
Joe Levy was promoted to CTO at SonicWall, where he'll be responsible for developing and communicating the security vendor's technology vision. Levy had been SonicWall's director of software engineering for the product architecture and publications groups for the past six years.
Pete Koliopoulos, vice president of global channel marketing, was named the chief of EMC's channel program. Until recently, he was responsible for software channel sales only. Koliopoulos' top priority will be merging the disparate channel programs of EMC's acquisitions.
William C. Reid was named vice president of sales at Convergence, a provider of access-edge session border controllers. In that role, Reid will oversee worldwide sales and channel development.
Perry Tanner has been appointed corporate vice president of marketing at EMS Technologies, which designs and manufactures wireless, satellite and defense solutions. Tanner will oversee corporate marketing, and business and communication strategies. Previously, Tanner held a variety of marketing, sales and operations positions at Cisco-owned Scientific Atlanta.
