CRN Channel Madness Round 2: Richardson Comes Out Strong Against Fellow HPE Channel Chief Dunsire
The Solutions 16 are going head-to-head in Round 2 of the 2017 CRN Channel Madness Tournament of Chiefs. Several of the contests look pretty lopsided so far. After 24 hours of voting, here's how the matches are shaping up.
In Infrastructure, where executives from the same company are facing each other for the first time in Channel Madness history, Hewlett Packard Enterprise's Terry Richardson isn't pulling any punches against fellow HPE-er Scott Dunsire. Richardson is leading 84 percent to 16 percent.
F5's David Helfer has come out strong against Cisco's Wendy Bahr, building an early 88 percent to 12 percent lead.
In the Hardware region, NetApp's Bill Lipsin is still riding the momentum of his come-from-behind Round 1 victory and has jumped out in front of EMC's John Byrne. Lipsin is leading 62 percent to 38 percent.
In the other Hardware region contest, Lenovo's Sammy Kinlaw is ahead of HP's Stephanie Dismore 57 percent to 43 percent.
In the Cloud region, AT&T's Brooks McCorcle is on a quest to make it back to the finals for the second year in a row. She's currently ahead of Intermedia's Eric Martorano 58 percent to 42 percent.
Verizon's Janet Schijns is wasting no time, building up a 71 percent to 29 percent lead over VMware's Frank Rauch.
And in the Software region, Microsoft's Gavriella Schuster is winning her battle against Oracle's Bill Swales 65 percent to 35 percent, while Salesforce's Neeracha Taychakhoonavudh is trailing Kendra Krause of Sophos. Krause is up 63 percent to 37 percent.
