Executive Vice President of HP's Enterprise Group Bill Veghte surprised HP Partners and conference attendees in Las Vegas by bringing Microsoft Corporate Vice President Phil Sorgen on stage to discuss HP's joint efforts with Microsoft.
Before introducing his friend from his Microsoft years, Veghte amped up the crowd, talking about HP ConvergedSystem Shark for Hana, accompanied by the "Jaws" theme.
"We brought everything we know about converged infrastructure and virtualization together -- and oh, by the way, we know a lot about it -- and delivered it as a single, integrated solution," Veghte said.
Veghte praised the pipeline around Shark, time to production, cost and performance.
"We are blowing the competition away," said Veghte.
Microsoft's Sorgen pitched the crowd on his company's partnership with HP to produce flex bundles, promising them profitable growth.
"The opportunity for Microsoft and HP to get together to do these flex bundles provides a level of simplicity and convenience for the customer," Veghte said.
