CRN Exclusive: Inside Zerto's Upcoming Partner Alliance 2.0 Program
Backup and recovery specialist Zerto has reinvested in its robust channel program, led by the addition of channel veteran Jason Cowie, global channels and alliances.
Cowie marked his third week on the job at Zerto’s first-ever ZertoCon in Boston. He articulated his approach to the channel in an interview with CRNtv alongside Mariah West, director of global partner marketing,
’I think what you’ll see over the next 12 to 15 months is focusing on enablement, being able to increase the addressable market for partners and really drive that joint success,’ Cowie said.
’First and foremost, it starts with disruptive technology that’s well aligned with market trends,’ he added.
Zerto used the conference to announce its third-quarter launch of the Partner Alliance 2.0 program. West said the tiered program will offer benefits to partners, particularly traditional resellers who want to transition to a services-led model.
’We’re bringing all the relationships under one umbrella, so especially for a traditional reseller who’s looking at going into a recurring revenue model, maybe that’s something they’re going to build out themselves, or maybe they’re looking to an existing service provider to partner with. So by bringing everyone together within the same program, we’re really enabling those conversations to start,’ she said.
The program will also focus on components around technical training and new customer acquisition.
’That technical training and enablement should allow them to build additional services offerings around our core technologies, as well as additional hardware and software as part of the overall portfolio,’ Cowie said.
Zerto is a 100 percent channel company and has about 1,300 channel partners worldwide.
