Information Builders: BI Is A Differentiator In Midmarket
New York-based software provider Information Builders has targeted the midmarket for years, but it has found a growing market in business intelligence and analytics with a simplified version of its enterprise platform.
"Just earlier this year, we announced to the marketplace a brand-new offering that's specifically targeted to the midmarket," said Melissa Treier, vice president at Information Builders. "It's a simplified version of our enterprise offering on the BI and analytics side; it's called the WebFocus Business User Edition,"
The platform enables solution and information delivery and exchange to employees and workers at the operational level, as well as non-employee constituencies outside the firewall.
Treier said Information Builders wants to help midmarket companies differentiate themselves.
"Information Builders is a midmarket company ourselves, so that makes us perfectly suited for the midmarket. We offer a full breadth of solutions across all industries and all sizes of organizations," Treier said.
WebFocus Business User Edition "allows a nice entry point with a full breadth of offerings of the product, but a simplified way to get started," she added.
"We're seeing a lot of opportunity in the OEM marketplace, so we're embedding our solutions to take to market for their marketplaces," Treier said. "But the other area is just really just solution recommender/solution provider referral-type programs."
