20 Tech Companies Hiring In The IT Channel: August 2024
Service Express, ECS, GuidePoint Security, Autodesk, HPE and SpaceX’s Starlink business are among the companies to list open positions for channel-related roles in August.
This month, Service Express, ECS and GuidePoint Security are among the solution providers to list open positions while Autodesk, Hewlett Packard Enterprise and SpaceX are among the vendors to list open positions for channel-related roles.
CRN has looked at open listings on LinkedIn that would bring talent into the channel—either by working with a partner or by working with a vendor to support partners.

Open Jobs In The IT Channel
Open roles include:
- A partner success manager who can make at least $109,400 a year at Autodesk
- A channel compute specialist position offering at least $95,400 a year at HPE
- A channel manager who can make at least $130,000 a year working on enterprise account management for SpaceX’s Starlink satellite internet portfolio
- An accounts receivable specialist making at least $28 an hour at Service Express
- A technical proposal writer making at least $80,000 a year in the Fairfax, Va., area with ECS
- A systems engineer with GuidePoint Security
These job posts came despite an uptick in unemployment in July, rising to 4.3 percent from 4.1 percent the prior month, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. This marked the fourth straight month of unemployment increases since April’s 3.9 percent unemployment rate.
Here are some of the latest job openings in the channel.
Varonis
This month, Varonis has an opening for a channel manager on LinkedIn.
The New York-based security vendor will task the new hire with “educating our partners and their sales team on what Varonis has to offer and how to position our products to the partners’ clients,” according to the listing.
The hire will “cultivate strong consultative relationships and act as a primary point of contact for assigned territory partners to ensure partner satisfaction” and “work with Varonis Sales Representatives in territory to connect target partners to meetings.”
Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree and a “minimum of 4 years’ experience of managing channel partners in a technology environment,” according to the listing.

JumpCloud
JumpCloud seeks a partner account manager for MSPs that can make at least $128,000 a year, according to a post on LinkedIn.
The Louisville, Colo.-based device management tools vendor wants this hire to manage “MSP partners, building relationships with them, and ultimately increasing their JumpCloud revenue,” according to the post.
The hire “will be the main point of contact for a list of both established and newly signed MSPs” and “work closely with cross functional teams such as Product and Technical Support to ensure partners are experiencing excellent product outcomes and able to grow with JumpCloud.”
Candidates should have “2+ years MSP sales experience with a focus on growing accounts” and a bachelor’s degree “or equivalent education and relevant experience.”
JumpCloud has about 2,000 channel partners worldwide, according to CRN’s 2024 Channel Chiefs.
IT By Design
A LinkedIn post this month shows an opening at IT By Design for a partner account representative for MSPs
The Jersey City, N.J.-based staffing and MSP services vendor wants this hire to “work with new prospects to qualify and take them through the defined sales process” and “evaluate prospects needs and demonstrate IT by Design’s products and services which include cybersecurity service sales, professional and implementation services, managed infrastructure services, SaaS, and IT talent placement,” according to the listing.
IT By Design also has an opening for an IT service delivery manager, according to a separate LinkedIn post. The manager will be “responsible for managing the activities and responsibilities of the service desk team” and “for providing high-level technical assistance to the team and ensuring service and support is provided to customers at agreed levels.”
Candidates should have “knowledge and experience in cross-functional management methods and techniques” and “skill in strategic planning with an ability to think ahead and plan over a 6 - 12 months’ time span,” among other qualities.
IT By Design sees about 97 percent of its overall sales come through indirect channel and alliance relationships, according to CRN’s 2024 Channel Chiefs.
Hewlett Packard Enterprise
Jobseekers interested in a channel compute specialist position offering at least $95,400 a year might look to an open role posted on LinkedIn this month by Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
The Houston-based enterprise technology vendor want this hire to drive “the sale of HPE compute portfolio of products, systems, and services through resellers/channels to achieve sales and grow market share goals,” according to the listing.
The hire will “work with key or strategic partners and set short and long-term channel strategies” and “foster reseller relationships, satisfaction and performance.”
Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and “3+ years of selling experience.”
HPE also has an opening for a storage sales specialist who can make at least $186,000 a year, according to a separate LinkedIn listing.
The hire will coordinate “supporting sales activities related to pipeline hygiene through account managers, Presales, channel partners and other relevant stakeholders” and work “with the channel to forge relationships, provide enablement of key technologies, and co-sell to end-users,” according to the listing.
Candidates should have “6-10+ years of sales experience” and “2-3+ years” of storage sales experience. They should also have a bachelor’s degree.

Qualys
Qualys has an opening this month for a channel account manager for managed security services providers (MSSPs) who can make at least $130,000 a year, according to a post on LinkedIn this month.
The Foster City, Calif.-based security vendor wants this hire to help “in expanding our market presence through strategic System Integrator partnerships,” according to the post.
The hire will “collaborate with partner and product marketing to drive the creation and utilization of GSI, MSSP relevant sales collateral, service offerings as well as demand generation programs and campaigns that drive GSI, MSSP partner revenue.”
Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree and “experience in Channel account managership positions driving GSI, MSSP strategy, go to market programs, and building, managing, and delivering global GSI, MSSP programs.”
Qualys has a partner program aimed at MSPs, MSSPs, resellers and other partner business types.
Autodesk
This month, a LinkedIn post shows an open role as a partner success manager who can make at least $109,400 a year at Autodesk.
The San Francisco-based design and make technology vendor will task this hire with “the transformation of our reseller channel to deliver world class customer success practices and services,” according to the post.
The hire “will manage the relationship with our strategic partners by being attentive to their immediate needs in driving new service offering and Customer Success motions and providing structured programs to help them achieve their goals.”
Candidates should have “at least 5+ years experience in Partner Management or Customer Success and experience working with C-Level staff as this is a very strategic and influential role.”
Autodesk has a partner program for services providers, resellers and other business models.
SpaceX
On LinkedIn, SpaceX has a listing this month for a channel manager who can make at least $130,000 a year working on enterprise account management for the vendor’s Starlink satellite internet portfolio.
The Hawthorne, Calif.-based spacecraft products manufacturer wants this hire to “be responsible for managing enterprise contracts to rapidly drive realization of revenue, doing it scalably, and working closely with counterparts on Starlink cross-functionally,” according to the listing.
The hire will “own the partner interface from contract signature onwards including onboarding, ongoing account management, and long-term retention/growth of the relationship and revenue.”
Candidates should have a “deep understanding of channel sales and account management” and “7+ years of experience working with commercial partners or customers,” plus a bachelor’s degree, according to the listing.
AvePoint
AvePoint has an opening for a partner account manager, according to a LinkedIn listing.
The Jersey City, N.J.-based data management tools vendor wants this manager to “own, lead, build and manage a partner eco-system of named re seller partners across the UK” and “support an existing book of business focusing on annual recuring revenue (ARR) growth based on annual contract value (ACV) bookings,” according to the listing.
Candidates should have a “proven track record in building alliance partner programs within enterprise software markets, preferably infrastructure” and “experience in personally managing end to end partner enablement plans, both business development and technical product training/knowledge transfer,” among other qualities.

ThousandEyes wants to hire a product sales specialist (PSS) who can make at least $260,100 a year, according to a LinkedIn listing.
The San Francisco-based digital experience assurance platform provider and Cisco subsidiary wants this hire to “lead the sales process for ThousandEyes within the public sector for prospective customers and channel partners” and “deliver growth in new business across the assigned territory through the development of strategic relationships with large commercial accounts.”

On LinkedIn this month, eSentire posted a listing for a senior territory manager who can make at least $100,000 a year.
The Waterloo, Ontario-based managed detection and response (MDR) vendor wants this hire to “drive revenue, adoption, and market penetration from mid-market to Small Enterprise” and “develop, manage, and nurture new business relationships and strategic partnerships to meet and exceed territory quota,” according to the listing.
The hire will “work in conjunction with Channel resources to ensure success of Strategic Partners and strengthen Channel relationships.”
