20 Tech Companies Hiring In The IT Channel: December 2024
Blue Light IT, RSM, Custom Computer Specialists, CrowdStrike, PTC and NetApp are among the companies to list open positions for channel-related roles.
This month Blue Light IT, RSM and Custom Computer Specialists are among the solution providers to list open positions while CrowdStrike, PTC and NetApp are among the vendors to list open positions for channel-related roles.
CRN has looked at open listings on LinkedIn that would bring talent into the channel—either by working with a partner or by working at a vendor to support partners.

Open Jobs In The IT Channel
Open roles include:
- A cybersecurity and IT specialist with Blue Light IT
- A technology, media, telecommunications industry senior associate making at least $86,100 a year with RSM
- A database administrator who can make at least $95,000 a year with CCS
- A regional alliances manager for the public sector and health care businesses who can make at least $105,000 a year with CrowdStrike
- A channel account manager with PTC
- A client executive who enables partner sales and technical teams with NetApp
In November, the U.S. economy added 227,000 jobs, “surpassing expectations,” according to J.P. Morgan. The unemployment rate was 4.2 percent.
Here are some of the latest job openings in the channel.
Ciena
This month, Ciena is seeking a sales principal for its interconnects business who can make at least $277,600 a year.
The Hanover, Md.-based networking vendor wants this hire to “be responsible for driving growth in the target semiconductor markets through both direct and indirect channels,” including “through semiconductor entities, partners, and OEM/ODM channels as assigned by management,” according to the LinkedIn listing.
Candidates should have “a BS Technical degree or a Business Degree is preferred or equivalent relevant experience (PLM, systems engineering, sales, marketing)” and “15+ years of hardware and/or software sales experience through partners.”
A separate listing from Ciena for a specialist partner manager calls for job seekers who want to “assist in the development and execution of service partner agreements, working closely with Ciena legal and contract specialists.”
This hire “will work closely with a team to lead and evolve our strategic and global service partner ecosystem, ensuring alignment with Ciena's services business requirements,” according to the listing.
Candidates should have a “minimum 1-3 years of relevant industry experience in project management, program management, customer service, commercial, and contract negotiation.”
Ciena has about 200 channel partners worldwide, according to CRN’s 2024 Channel Chiefs.
Extreme Networks
Extreme Networks has an opening for a systems engineer for channels, according to a LinkedIn listing.
The Morrisville, N.C.-based cloud networking vendor will make this engineer “responsible for developing and maintaining the technical competency of partners through training, demos, presentations, and consultation,” according to the listing.
“The Channel SE will provide account support for customer opportunities being driven by the partner,” according to the listing. “Channel SEs should possess strong skills in: conveying complex concepts, presenting, consultative selling, and network design.”
The vendor is part of CRN’s 2024 Partner Program Guide.
Pax8
Pax8 has a variety of jobs available this month for candidates interested in a role in the channel, according to LinkedIn.
The Greenwood Village, Colo.-based IT distributor and online marketplace provider seeks the following among its open positions:
- Vice president of global total rewards who can make at least $230,000 a year–the VP “will play a critical role in shaping and executing Pax8’s global remuneration and benefits strategy.”
- Community manager who can make at least $86,000 a year–the hire will “have ownership over the day-to-day operations, meetings, and events at Pax8 Americas offices–activating the space to serve and enable various teams and functions.”
- Senior corporate paralegal who can make at least $130,000 a year–the hire will be “administering global stock plans, managing the company minute book, supporting due diligence exercises, overseeing compliance and securities filings, handling UCC filings, drafting and distributing legal documents, coordinating proxy materials, and managing global legal entity compliance.”
- Senior data science product manager who can make at least $125,000 a year–this hire “defines and drives the vision and strategy for data products that use data science techniques to empower Pax8's buyers and sellers to grow their business.”
- Cloud generation specialist who can make at least $42,900 a year–the hire will “help assess partner and client needs and set appointments for Pax8’s team of channel account managers.”
- Channel account manager making about $74,550 a year–the CAM will “help assess partner and customer needs, provide demo presentations, qualify prospects, close sales, and place orders.”
- Senior program manager for Microsoft security in the Americas–the hire will support “dedicated Microsoft resources responsible for enhancing partner revenue, reach, frequency, and yield through the management of Microsoft security programs.”
- Program management office director who can make at least $140,000 a year–the hire will “lead and manage a team of professionals responsible for delivery program components.”
Pax8 has about 31,000 channel partners worldwide, according to CRN’s 2024 Channel Chiefs.
HYCU
HYCU has an opening for a channel account manager in the Boston area, according to a LinkedIn listing this month.
The Boston-based data protection platform provider wants this CAM to “play a crucial role in helping expand HYCU’s reach to new markets by growing and nurturing our partner ecosystem,” acting “as a liaison between the company and its channel partners, which can include distributors, resellers, and value-added resellers (VARs),” according to the listing.
Candidates should have “5+ years of proven experience in a successful channel sales operation partnering with VARs, systems integrators, distributors, etc., preferably in the data protection space” and “2+ years of experience selling SaaS cloud-based data protection as-a-Service (DPaaS) in an inside or field sales role preferred.”
HYCU has about 460 channel partners worldwide, according to CRN’s 2024 Channel Chiefs.
CrowdStrike
This month, CrowdStrike has several job openings related to its channel partner operations.
The Austin, Texas-based security vendor has the following among its open roles:
- Regional alliances manager for the public sector and health care businesses who can make at least $105,000 a year–the hire will “focus on growing our new business opportunities within the VAR/reseller and referral partner channels.”
- Senior technical enablement architect for partner enablement for incident response–the hire will be “connecting our technical teams (solution architecture, solution engineering, services and product) with scaled partner readiness, driving collaborative partnership and enabling field teams on product updates and enablement programs.”
- Global partner marketing vice president–the hire will build a “comprehensive partner marketing strategy that drives pipeline growth and revenue outcomes through key partners – VARs, GSIs, MSPs, tech alliances etc.”
- Managed security services provider field alliances operations business partner–the hire will be “partnering with MSSP partner leaders and their teams with emphasis to assist with channel strategy with data led insights into trends, gaps and opportunities to execute the plan.”
According to CRN’s 2024 Channel Chiefs, CrowdStrike is working to increase the amount of professional services going through partners.
Palo Alto Networks
Palo Alto Networks has multiple openings this month related to its channel operations.
Openings at the Santa Clara, Calif.-based security vendor include:
- State, local and education (SLED) channel business manager–the hire will “provide clear and consistent communication across the region with your dedicated partners to build strong partnerships throughout your assignment.”
- Channel technical solutions engineer–the hire will be “collaborating with channel partners to design, build, and optimize lab environments that simulate real-world solutions for their customers.”
- Channel systems engineer for global systems integrators-the hire “will be responsible for helping to drive go-to-market (GTM) development and outcomes with Palo Alto Networks’ most strategic and impactful GSI partners e.g. Wipro, Accenture, IBM.”
- Named account manager or education making at least $255,000 a year–the hire will “cultivate relationships with our channel partners to bring channel-centric go-to-market approach for our customers.”
- Solutions consultant making at least $198,000 a year–the hire will be “promoting end-to-end solutions that include PANW and/or partner professional services to ensure customers realize business value sooner.”
NetApp
An open client executive role in the Orlando, Fla., area who can make at least $281,000 a year is available at NetApp this month, according to a LinkedIn listing.
The San Jose, Calif.-based data infrastructure vendor wants this executive to “enable partner sales and technical teams in line with partner compliance requirements and Go-to-Market strategy, in conjunction with NetApp Channel Development Manager,” according to a LinkedIn listing.
Candidates should have “a minimum of 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree” and a “strong understanding of the channel sales landscape in a distributed environment.”
In CRN’s 2024 Channel Chiefs, NetApp said it expects to increase the number of channel partners it works with within the next 12 months.
Digital Realty
This month, job seekers interested in a role as a senior director and channel and alliance lead for the Americas might want to look at this open position at Digital Realty.
The Austin, Texas-based data center and colocation provider wants this lead “to achieve the overall indirect channel sales targets via a range of partner profiles” and “ensure the proper performance of channel sales personnel through training, incentives, and motivation,” according to the LinkedIn listing.
Candidates should have an “advanced understanding of channel sales, partner programs and technology partner ecosystems with particular experience with global systems integrators and large VARs and service providers.”
Digital Realty also seeks a senior manager for channel operations, according to a separate listing. The company wants this manager “to provide analysis to support business decisions and planning for channel sales strategy and planning, sales leadership, marketing operations, marketing leadership and other associated organizations.”
Candidates should have a “BA/BS degree, with 5+ years of relevant work experience in channel operations, sales operations, or business analytics.”
PTC
PTC has openings this month for a channel account manager and an associate CAM, according to separate LinkedIn listings.
The Boston-based industrial technology vendor wants the CAM to “develop and execute region-specific channel strategies to drive revenue growth and align with organizational objectives,” according to the listing for this position.
Candidates should have “at least five years of experience in channel account management or a related B2B sales role, with a history of meeting or exceeding sales quotas” and a “bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field.”
The CAM “will be responsible for fostering new footprint opportunities, upselling, and cross-selling in 100+ accounts in the SMB and mid-market space,” according to the listing for this position.
Candidates should have “1-3 years of relevant sales quota carrying experience in a B2B environment” and a “Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.”
PTC has about 800 channel partners worldwide, according to CRN.
11:11 Systems
Job seekers interested in a role as a channel territory manager in New England might want to look at this opening with 11:11 Systems.
The Fairfield, N.J.-based managed infrastructure technology platform provider wants this manager to “build and implement a channel development & revenue plan for the region, consistent with the overall revenue and growth targets for the territory, meeting assigned expectations for profitability and sales quota for designated partner accounts,” according to the LinkedIn listing.
Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree and a “minimum 4 years’ experience in channel sales.”
According to CRN’s 2024 Channel Chiefs, 11:11 has been working to add more qualified partners and increase the overall percentage of company revenue that comes through the channel.

LinkedIn has a listing this month for a marketing coordinator who can make at least $60,000 a year with cb20.
The Saratoga Springs, N.Y.-based company–No. 432 on the CRN 2024 Solution Provider 500–wants this hire to “coordinate demand generation activities with internal and external resources” and drive a “persistent presence across targeted social media platforms, including day to day activity postings,” according to the listing.
Candidates should have a “BS/BA in marketing and communications or relevant field” and “3+ years experience.”
RSM
Multiple open roles are available this month with RSM.
The Chicago-based company–No. 71 on the 2024 Solution Provider 500–seeks hires for roles including:
- Transaction advisory services deal analytics associate making at least $63,800 a year–the hire will “help companies with the M&A process by delivering analytical insights using advanced data tools and techniques.”
