CRN has looked at open listings on LinkedIn that would bring talent into the channel—either by working with a partner or by working with a vendor to support partners.

Open Jobs In The IT Channel
Open roles include:
- A service desk agent at Unisys
- A business development representative at Fusion Connect
- An associate field network engineer at Impact Networking
- A national channel sales engineer at Tenable
- A partner development manager at Confluent who can make at least $170,000 a year
- A channel account manager at Thales
The U.S. job market added 142,000 jobs in August, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Unemployment fell to 4.2 percent from 4.3 percent the prior month.
The Federal Reserve has shown a likelihood of cutting interest rates this month, with unemployment above the 3.5 percent experienced when the Fed stopped increasing its interest rates and inflation down from a mid-2022 peak of about 7 percent, according to Reuters.

Dynatrace
Dynatrace has multiple open positions related to its partners, according to LinkedIn listing.
The Waltham, Mass.-based observability and security data platform vendor seeks the following among its open roles:
- Solution engineer who can make at least $130,000 a year–the hire will lead “the technical solution evaluation portion in support of sales opportunities either directly or through channel partners for multiple POCs”
- Global account manager who can make more than $250,000 a year–the hire Leverage the Dynatrace services, support, partner, and hyper scale ecosystems to expand the Dynatrace footprint through innovation and collaboration
- Strategic enterprise account executive who can make at least $290,000 a year–the AE will “develop a contact network within named accounts and channel partners to ensure Dynatrace can be sold broadly and effectively”
Veracode
Veracode has a listing this month on LinkedIn for a strategic business development representative.
The Burlington, Mass.-based application risk management (ARM) vendor wants this BDR to “engage channel partners by building relationships to help build traction in top priority accounts,” according to the listing.
Candidates should have “3+ years of work experience within Saas organizations” and “experience with Veracode's key prospecting tools (Salesforce, SalesNavigator, Outreach, 6Sense, TechTarget, ZoomInfo).”
Veracode also seeks a senior account executive for the enterprise business, according to a separate listing. This AE will work on “creating and executing upon a strategic territory plan to attract and close business leveraging relationships with business development, marketing, regional partners and system integrators.”
Candidates should have “5+ years of experience selling B2B SaaS solutions,” according to the listing.
The vendor expects the number of channel partners it works with to increase within the next 12 months, according to CRN’s 2024 Channel Chiefs.
OneStream Software
OneStream Software seeks a director of strategic alliances for global system integrators who can make at least $140,000 a year, according to a LinkedIn listing.
The Birmingham, Mich.-based enterprise finance management platform vendor will task this GSI alliances director with “recruiting, developing, and managing our Global System Integrator Alliance relationships” and coordinating “with the OneStream GSI lead & regional sales teams, field marketing, product marketing, product development and strategy teams to align with all firms.”
Candidates should have “8+ years of experience in Partner, Channel or Alliance management,” according to the listing.

Jobseekers interested in a role as a preferred account representative for channel IT solutions might want to look into this role with Vertiv.
The Columbus, Ohio-based data center and communication networks infrastructure technologies maker wants this rep “to work with Vertiv sales teams in an assigned region to prospect into, qualify, and establish introductions by setting up a meeting with key decision makers and influencers of end-users within specified, net-new target accounts,” according to the listing.

The Hoboken, N.J.-based cyber resilience platform provider will make this hire “the primary leader & point of contact for creating & enabling mutually profitable relationships with Referral Partners, Resellers, Value-Added Resellers (VARs) & Distributors across North America,” according to the listing.
The hire will “recruit & enable carefully focused, mutually profitable partnerships with industry leading consulting, advisory and global system integrator partners,” among other tasks.

Mitel
Mitel has an opening for a channel account executive who can help the vendor “maximize sales (revenue/bookings) and revenue growth from Mitel’s Strategic channel partners,” according to a LinkedIn listing.
The Kanata, Ontario-based telecommunications vendor wants this AE to “work with assigned partner lists to provide basic product training sales support and sustain productive partnerships by regularly interacting with partners.”

BMC Software
Channel sales partner leaders on the job hunt might look at this open role at BMC Software.
The Houston-based enterprise technology vendor wants this hire to “be responsible for building and managing relationships with channel partners to drive sales and distribution of BMC Software's products and services,” according to the listing on LinkedIn.
The hire will “identify, recruit, and onboard new channel partners to expand BMC Software's market reach and drive sales growth,” among other tasks.
Candidates should have “7+ years of experience in sales, distribution management, and partner management, with a strong background in both startup and large enterprise environments.”

Thales
Thales has an opening for a channel account manager, according to a LinkedIn listing.
The France-based identity and data protection products vendor will have this CAM “be responsible for establishing, developing and implementing key strategic territory plans, channel initiatives and partner account plans with solution provider/reseller partner(s) specializing in security solutions for the Northeast region of the US,” according to the listing.
