Through the alliance with VCE and its collaborating vendors, Cisco, EMC and VMware CSC will leverage Vblock as the technology stack for its cloud offerings to move it customers easily and securely to the cloud.
Along with expanding its alliance with the VCE, CSC had VCE have also committed new sales, engineering and support resources for customers to test VCE-enabled offerings through CSC Centers of Excellence in the U.S., England and Australia in the next 90 days.
The tightened partnership with VCE will help CSC provide fully integrated, seamless and secure transitions to the cloud that tie together its consulting, service oriented architecture (SOA), applications modernization refactoring and trusted cloud managed services. The VCE's Vblock platform will serve as the fabric to deliver client applications and business process through an Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) model.

CSC will offer tailored services around Vblock and plans to deliver cloud-enabled CSC software to the new environment to leverage Vblock, including services like "SAP on VCE," where CSC will use its application knowledge and its SAP practice to help clients utilize cloud services.
"Businesses are looking for ways to rapidly take advantage of the benefits of virtualization and secure cloud computing, and CSC is excited about the momentum we're building in the marketplace with key VCE cloud implementations like the recently announced win with AMP in Australia," CSC chairman, president and CEO Michael W.
